btw there is a position before that where no dash light comes on that will let you work on your radio. That's what I do when changing the EQ. I do have aftermarket HU though.

Got one Morimoto fog installed. Big difference between stock halogen and led.

They look amazing!looks like a brand new truck. Are the day time running light as bright as advertised and how do the lights look at night. How’s the output?

A huge improvement over the halogens for sure. The high beams are super bright as well as the DRLs. The best thing for me is they look OEM.

Question for Headlight Revolution: Are you going to test these? A few months ago I purchased some Tundra 2nd Gen AlphaRex Headlights with DRL's (Amazon) and some V.4 LED Headlight H7 Bulbs from Headlight Revolution. All in shipping for everything was $494.00. I have the say the Headlight Revolution LED's are bright as $%#&!!! They are brighter than my Audi A6 HID's. These Morimoto's would have to be the significantly brighter than stock and definitely on par with the HR V.4's before I would blow another $900.00.

You bet your Supper we are! :)

Here are the Specs for the Following kits @ 25 Feet from the Wall!

OEM Halogen w/ OEM Halogen Bulbs:
    - Low Beam was 210 Lux
    - High Beam was 620 Lux

OEM Halogen Housings w V.4 LEDs:
    - Low Beam was 700 Lux
    - High Beam was 1550 Lux

    Morimoto XB LED Headlight Assemblies:
    - Low Beam was 670 Lux
    - High beam was 1640 Lux

When it comes down to it, You are really shopping for Appearance and Warranty. The V.4 LEDs offer very similar performance with a 2-Year Warranty, whereas the XBs offer a 5-Year Warranty in a Prettier Package! :)

If you are in it for Performance, save the $$$ and get the V.4 bulbs! If you want to add a Facelift to your 2nd Gen. Tundra, there is no better route than Morimoto! :)

There is an Alpharex thread on here where I compared the HR V.4 LED's to my Audi https://www.tundras.com/threads/alpharex-usa-headlights.53256/page-3. The Alpharex have built in high beam LED's (which look great but I didn't like the fact there is no option to swap if they burn out) and I installed the HR V.4 LED's in them which was super easy. Here is a pic when I was test fitting the Sequoia TRD grille to see how big the bottom gap is. The headlights aren't lit but you can get the idea. Probably going to add an aluminum angle to the bottom of the Sequoia grille and paint it to match. FYI the grille is just resting on the top so the side gap isn't that big. I did consider the Sequoia headlights because they have the different plastic piece on the bottom that lines up with the TRD grille but there too many other things I want to spend $1500 on for the truck.

EDIT. I actually did have a pic with them on. The DRL's aren't super bright like the Morimoto's appear to be in one posters picture but the lights look very similar.

Even with the gap, the TRD Pro grill looks 100x better IMO!

Nope, that's the stock 2008 hood and blends in with the hood lines perfectly. The only issue as mentioned above is the 1/2 to 3/4" gap on the bottom and the fact the Sequoia headlights get thinner at the grille.

    Hey quick question

Does anybody know how to disable the DRL on 07-up Tundra and 08-up Sequoia?

i like the led lights but hate that constant orange glow

Behind the panel under the steering column, to the left, lives the blinker relay. Easy to find by taking the panel off and turning the blinker on to listen for the tick. The harness that plugs into it contains 2 gray wires, 1 big and 1 little. De-pin or cut the SMALL gray wire. This will get rid of the amber light for DRL, but you will maintain the blinker as normal. If you want the amber back, simply push the pin/splice the wire back. Hope this helps.

You can order from Roman at Cool Springs Toyota. I have found Roman's shipping with FORUM20 discount to be less than tax on many occasions against my local dealer. However, Big Two Toyota in Gilbert wound up being significantly less so I got it locally. They showed it back-ordered in the whole nation but my black one showed up in less than two weeks.

    Check this...

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/2020-sequoia-trd-pro-grill-conversion.55533/

If going on an 07-09 you will also need updated brackets
    53117-0C030 and 53118-0C030

    and 90119-A0156 x 10, plus Grille Assembly Retainer x 5 53191-0C010

By the way I was at SDHQ in Gilbert today and when I told him about the Sequoia Grille and gap, he said I should try and find a light bar to go in the gap. Going to see if there is long thin one that will work.

How does the beam pattern look for those who have them? I'm considering these as I'd like to go to LED, but I'd be coming from D2S retrofits. So you can imagine the beam pattern with those projectors are clean.

I have these on my 2018 Platinum and the beam is clean and definitive. To my surprise when I installed them and when I turned them on you could barely tell with the naked eye that they needed a slight adjustment

You're going to be a little Spoiled with that D2S Cutoff line, is it a 35w or 50w setup? Also what Color? The performance is going to rival your Retrofit, but you will have a Sharper cutoff line, It's tough to beat the D2S there! But coming down to Hotspots, width, and Appearance, the XBs are right up there with a full-on Retrofit. The nice part of the XBs is that 5-Year Warranty with a Full PnP system! :)

Mines a 35W with 5500K. I haven't had any issues with them, just impressed with the updated look and longevity of the XB's.

Ah, it may outperform the 35w setup but the 50w setup would probably have it beat. It'd be close! Maybe I could take some test photos and post them up...

Coronavirus strikes the Automotive LED Market! There is quite the amount of Congestion and delay in the Shipping ports due to Medical Concerns/Holding, and it appears the update as of Today is March 10th for these to hit our Warehouse.

I know the delays suck to hear about, but I want to make sure I am keeping you all updated as soon as I hear about it. Sorry for the Bad News my Friends!
