In my 2016 4runner i made the 12v power outlets on constantly by jumping the fuses from the power seat fuse to the power outlet fuse... dont need to have ignition on to charge my devices, power my comms etc.

forward to my 2019 crewmax.. the hazard fuse has 12v always.. i jumped it to the power outlet fuse(with an add a circuit) and the power outlets got power... but... the radio also turned on.. which is weird because the radio has its own fuse..

has anyone been able to make their power outlets have constant power..?

I used this method. Easy and clean.

Yes I want to get my hands on a schematic to see what the P/OUTLET relay is tied to.

You’ll need to jump the P/OUTLET relay tips not the fuse.

Does this method affect anything else in the vehicle? Or just those 2 outlets...?

No. Just those outlets. Hang on to the relay so you can go back to stock. Or if you change your mind.

My 2010 did that too but they changed it sometime cause my 2018 doesn’t.

Anyone know/notice there is a 15a fuse in the "Inverter" slot under the dash? I quickly google/forum searched and have seen nothing about a stock wired inverter...thinking maybe this would be a good port to tap for one? This is on my '17 SR5 CM.

EDIT: It appears to have 12v with the ignition off/key out

The factory gauge wire is tiny. Just unplug it and wire it with a fuse

No fuse protection to the outlet with the jumper, right?

Radio stays on when the jumper is installed, so I'm back to the relay being in full time. I guess 2019 is different than previous years?

Nothing yet, actually I forgot all about it after I failed at the first attempt. Time to get back on this again!

I ended up running a fused wire from the battery to the port in the center console. It was a pain, but I also replaced the 12v cigarette lighter plug with a dual usb.

I left the ones under the a/c controls, but they're not always powered.
