Broke my whip antenna going thru a carwash. The stud was broken down inside. Tried to drill it out but no luck so I changed the whole cable system out. You need to remove the glove box, Passenger airbag (disconnected the neg. Battery cable, waited 10 minutes like I was told, I dunno but I didnt kill myself and just let it dangle). Removed the grab handle trim. Was easy after that. Removed the wheel well mud skirt for easy access to the antenna mount. Loaded some pics. Hope it helps

I need to change mine out. Its stripped out at the base where the antenna screws in. I bought the parts but have been putting off doing this. Got any tips?

I went through a car wash this past weekend and asked the attendant if the antenna could break. He said, "yes" and offered to remove it. In the process, he scratched up the paint with the crescent wrench. Now, I'm dealing with them to make it right. After looking at the pictures you posted, I'm glad it was removed.
