Got a couple of things done on the truck today. The remote start from James is done with the phone app. Had to call James once to get the phone app going...that dude is awesome!...spent about 30 seconds on the phone with him and it's all good. Very simple install. I also got my stubby antenna from Antenna source installed...it works better than the original if you can believe that....looks great too.20200117_205339.jpg

I installed one on my 2014 about 4 weeks ago. I just did the remote start without the phone app. It was fairly easy, but took me longer because I was working in temps in the 30s and wanted to go slow so as to not break anything. No wires to cut, but you need to tap into one wire. I recommend using a positap. I did not plan ahead so I had to tap into it manually which made it harder than it needed to be.

Great system, I did mine with the phone start option and the app is great. The range on my fob sucks, so I almost exclusively use the app, and because it's 2-way - gives you feedback (and you can start/stop from literally anywhere), it's mega convenient.

I had a hiccup with installation - a defective part - @james@tech12volts handled it like a pro, with great phone support (on a Sunday lol) and a speedy turnaround with the fix. I'd buy from him even at a premium just for the service. But he's cheaper anyway, so no downside. I use this little mod almost every day...

No cutting on the install just simple plug and play. If you have any issues at all just give James a call and he will have you going in no time. Buy one you will love it :)

I absolutely love it. One of my favorite mods. I can be in the middle of my house w/the truck in the street, and it starts.

Hey, I had an extra lil' black wire w/a funny black tip. Anyone else have that?
