Morimoto XB LED Headlights + XB LED Fogs for $950

Hey guys i just found this deal on the morimoto headlights for $950 on HIDkitPros and they include the XB Fogs lights for FREE! I was thinking of buying the OEM LED Headlights but came accross this deal. OEM Headlights shipped to me would of been $720 + iHacker Harness $130 = $850. What pushed me to the morimotos were the blacked out housings, sequential turn signals and the Fog Lights which were normally $170. Seemed like a deal, im just letting anyone else on the forum know if they were on the fence themselves. Thats a great deal. At that price point I probably would have gave them a try if i didnt already get OEM LEDs

I've got both installed, had them since late November. They look factory except for the slightly darkened lenses.

ok, so I’ve dealt with the other seller whom you believe might be a scammer. My dealing with him went fine (he built my retrofit headlamps 2 years ago and you can see them in my build thread at post #90 by following my link below) and I believe he got himself in over his head when he tried to do a group buy for the XB’s. He’s not an official vender for the forum but he has built quite a few retrofits for a few of us. Unfortunately I’m here now looking at the XB’s because my panamera shroud and light bar on the passenger side just went out. Haven’t had the time to do any troubleshooting yet to see if maybe a wire came loose or burnt out.

edit ... must be a loose wire because my shroud and light bar came back on this evening.

 

Oh damn, they look good! Guess if my retrofit had in fact gone bad on me I just might have had to pick these up (when they go on sale that is).

So got another question ... when you turn off or on your alarm do the front leds turn signals blink amber too?

 

Yes, the ambers blink.

 

Good to know, that is why I said "appears" to be a scammer, key word being appears. That thread/sale ruined his name though. Kinda feel sorry for him.

yeah, I believe he meant well but I can understand where some of the forum members were turned off by the delays in refunds or delivery of the headlamps.

I have problems with the LED bars on my retros sometimes. It is that thin wire that Toyota uses. I need to change my inline splices.

 

yeah, that’s pretty much was the issue ... a thin wire. I eventually got the splice to hold and never had anymore issues.
