So I had a 3rd gen taco for years. Finally traded it in on a 2020 tundra. Was curious how many miles on average you guys get that have a 26 gallon tank. So far I've went 110 miles on this tank, and I'm at a little over half a tank. I know it will get a little better as fuel trims are learned.

Welcome from WI. It's actually a 26 gallon tank. A few of those 26 are kept in reserve so that the fuel pump stays submerged. If I run until the low fuel light comes on I get somewhere around 300 miles +/- to a tank.

A Yinzer . I'm from Hollidaysburg, just outside of Altoona. Unfortunately, I'm stuck in the land of cheeseheads for the time being :puke:. But I still get home 3 or 4 times a year.

I have the same vehicle as you and I can't get even close to 330 miles. Heck on a full tank the mileage never reads higher then 289 miles. Like it magically stops at that number.

You'll never get more then 300 miles per tank. If someone says they r they are stretching the truth...i drive like a grandpa on factory size tires and have never seen over 290 miles with the dummy light on...although when the light comes on you still have 6 gallons to go.

I will test this out coming this summer. Going back to my home state of Colorado. Visiting high school buddies and family before heading up to the mountains. Hopefully the new cali people haven't messed things up. Lol

Fuel light comes on for me around 220 miles. Instant the light comes on I get about another 8 gallons. 35s with a blower.

I used to get 320-340 on a highway trip. You just have to drive it a bit when the gas light comes on. I think I got 22-23 gallons back in before when I had my '11.

I do the same thing on my '16 with the 38. The light keeps on and you can easily drive another 50 miles and still have gallons left.

I commute to work about 40 miles round trip. So far on the way to work and back I'm getting 17.5. It's almost all highway and a flat 45mph road. That's the same as I got with my taco on 32x10.50's

99% of my driving is on the street. I get 240-260. On the freeway I get 17mpg which is about 360 miles. I don't usually let it get to empty on road trips as I don't always know where the next gas station is.

I usually let it go to 0 on the display which has 2-4 gallons left because I use Frys (supermarket) savings to get as much of my 50-80 cents a gallon off cause I'm cheap.

I drive 36 miles a day round trip to work, mostly highway at 70mph in the morning and slower on the way home, I average 13.4-13.5mpg. So I will get the gas light around 270-280 miles. On road trips I have gotten up to 14.5 mpg but not the norm. I am on 295/70/18 tires - 34.3" with a 2.5/1 lift

Guess I need to be more brave when the light comes on, I usually gas up before it comes on. On road trips I'll get to around 278 miles just below quarter tank and fill up

that's roughly what I want to run... 2.5/1 with 34's... good to know the MPG... about 2 less than me without a trailer...
I'm 2019 SR5 Cement, and I have the 6 seats... IF i did it again, I'd get power seats, 2020 has them for the 6 seats, think it's the SX package for the SR5... that's about it really, I like the simple layout, I don't like dual zone, oh, I guess I'd go voodoo blue...
    -------------
    on topic...
I here's a link to my fuelly... you can see my log book.
    http://www.fuelly.com/car/toyota/tundra/2019/snowlizard/904027

    top distance, 339miles @ 22gal's... 15.3
top mpg, 19mpg, was Yosemite at 35-45mph...
avg mpg is 12... mostly cause I tow a trailer. truck usually stays around 14.8mpg on the dash (since after Yosemite)

I'm looking at the transfer flow tank... wouldn't mind 46gal for less fuel stops... towing, I'm lucky to get 180 miles on a tank towing, that's usually where the light turns on, and then only fill up 17-19 gal's...

This was shortly after I bought the Sequoia. Now I'm lucky to get 300 miles in distance to empty. I do have a bit of lead foot. On highways, I'll hit 80-90 and heavy on the acceleration whenever possible.

No wonder some dudes get low range. You will never get good MPGs driving ridiculously fast at 75-90mph. 60-65 is all you need for good highway MPGs.

I have a 26 foot travel trailer that I tow, I average 8mpg or less when towing it. I have 5.29 gears in the garage, saving up for the lsd and install. I plan on going up to 35s when these tire are worn out. I have been looking into the 46 gallon tanks as well, would love not having to stop every 300 miles to fill up

I tow a 3k (dry wt) 20ft trailer, probably 4k fully loaded... it's a toyhauler with max cap of 7k. someday I'll get a toy...
towing 4k lbs averages 10.5mpg on the last trip to yosemite (towing avg) not looking forward to larger tires and the less range they create. hence the 46gal.

I didn't even realize that you could still buy a Tundra with a 26 gallon tank. When I bought my 2020 SR5 I assumed it had the 38 gallon tank and it does.

300 and the light is usually on, unless I'm on an easy road and staying at 70. Did manage to pull 18 and went 360 before I got scared and filled up. Light wasnt on yet but it was probably at 1/8 tank. And consistently fills at around 20 gal

if you don't get the 'SR5' package, it stay's 26gal... the SR5 takes away the front bench (40/20/40) and puts in a center console, then moves the shifter from the wheel to the console...

so basicly, there is 'NO' way to get a 38 gal with 6 seats... from factory.
