I installed on the middle setting. I wanted to retain some rake and I got that. The truck is strange though because by eye it looks level, even nose high at times. I can only tell I have rake by measuring, I think it's the giant hood.

Looks good, I also have a white crewmax, middle setting on the 5100s, used to think it looked nose high, ended up putting a 1" block in the rear, I am happier with the look, doesn't look nose high to me anymore.

I had just the 5100’s on front set to top setting with nothing In rear. Looked ok but to me looked too low in rear. I just added 1.5” shackles to the rear and really like the look. Could possibly add a shim to front but I think I am going to leave as is

Has anyone ever had the 5100’s installed and aligned and then added the diff drop afterwards?
I don’t think that would change the steering geometry would it?

Im new to the Tundra world, and I've seen people talking about shims and diff drops. would i need either of these if i just plan on setting the 5100s at the middle setting?

Can you post a direct side shot please? I plan to get a hard cap but I still want some rake afterwards.

ok thanks! i was trying to decide between 20x9 or 20x10 wheels, but i like the way those sit with the 295s, i may just do tires first and see how i like it before i throw another grand or more at wheels.

5100s will use your stock springs (unless you purchase them assembled) and the 6112s will come with new springs. Both will work at the top setting. Whether you go for 5100s or 6112s I think it depends on how you will use your truck and your budget.

When I installed mine, at the time, I could not justify the additional cost of the 6112s and I got the 5100s. Within about 6 months of installing I started off-roading more and regretted not going for the 6112s.

    No they are not.
Those are part of the TSS Dealership Package. Gulf State dealers do this. Most of those wheels are made by Ultra.

I just ordered the full set of 5100’s!! Can’t wait to get home from offshore and put them on! From all the post if read and the pictures on the forum, I think I’m gonna put em on the middle setting, and do the 295/55/20’s. Here’s a Pic of my truck the day I got it a few weeks ago. It’s got full window tint(even the full windshield) and pulled all the stickers for now. Once I get the bilstien on, I’ll order tires.

So, while I was just scanning for suspension upgrade again. I cam across different description on the Front 5100 Height adjustable front shocks adjustable with 3 different lift settings- (.87″, 1.57″, and 2.28″) and on another website its (0" (stock height) to 2.5" of front lift). Which is it?

I bought a 2" leveling kit. Installed it with the 5100 bottom setting. Do I have a 3" if my 2"+.87? Or still 2" with the 2" level and bottom setting is "0"? My hub center to fender is 24" and I added air in the back to make it 1" higher.

I did measure my OEM shock's bottom perch to eyelet against the 5100 bottom setting, and 5100 is clearly taller.

For the past few months, I felt that my tires are too small for the amount of lift I have. But now, I think I have and extra 1" of lift that's why my tires look smaller. I scanned through the all the photo's with 275.65.18 with 2" level kit, they all seam to look right. But my tires looks smaller. I have a big clearance between my fender and tires. Is it just optical illusion? Big tire envy? Insecurity about not having big tires? Trying to keep up with the Jones'? Did I just wasted money in a new set of 295.70.18 AT3 XLT while I only have 6000 miles on truck and tires?

Please chime in if you know which specification is actually correct.

    Thanks!

^^^ This... I have a set of assembled 6112s (2.5") on the way. Been running the 5100s on the middle setting for about seven months and at the top setting for almost a year. I didn't have the money to get the 6112s before but do now. I'm really looking forward to a better ride with the 6112s vs the 5100s on and off road.

I also have a 19 CM and was debating going 5100. I ended up going with Fox 2.0 non-resi. Love it so far. Huge difference when going off road.

Thanks! When ever I see a different description on other off road website I get confused and all juggle up. I measured my OEM against the 5100. The 5100 sits higher. So I have a 2.87 lift instead of 2", that's why my 275.65.18 looks too small for my truck.

You should. Depends on the offset though. I'm running 33.6"x12" on 18x9s +25mm with no problems.

Arrived today...Out with the 5100s, in with the 6112s!!! Thanks @BOSS4x4s for the awesome price and fast shipping. It was a ninety minute install. 6112s are so much beefier than the 5100s and they ride SOOOO MUCH BETTER!!!! I had them assembled at the top setting (2.5") and are the same length as the 5100s on the top setting.

Yes at the highest setting you’ll be sitting about 3 cm higher on the front.

    18” method wheels +18 with 35x12.50r18
