I bought this and used it and am pretty impressed. CAUTION: This stuff is almost impossible to get off paint. Roll your windows down and mask off areas close to the trim you are doing. Don't forget to cover your backup camera glass!

If you have cared for your paint, one of the best ways to make your truck look brand new rolling down the road is a clean rear axle. I used the Cerakote Trim Coat to bring back the new look. The picture below is after a week in Flagstaff in snow and salted roads. When I returned to Phoenix I hit it with a high pressure car wash sprayer and still looks good.

    Long over due:

bryan just want to give you some props on your recommendation of this product. It went under the radar for most of us but I do believe you where the first to post about it. It’s now a common product that I use and it is great. Thanks to another member here I was directed to your post and just wanted to give you a thumbs up. I’d love to know how it’s holding up on your truck you have had it applied the longest. Send some pics if you don’t mind.

I bought a pack of Cerakote wipes a while back and they’ve been sitting on my detailing cart ever since. Today I was killing time in the garage and thought I’d finally try it out. I got it applied to my door handles and side mirrors. I used carpro eraser to clean with first and then gave everything a good coating with the Cerakote wipe.

Today I noticed some streaks on the door handles that I did yesterday. I think it was a result of going back over them while they were still drying, but not yet dry (like 10-15 minutes after the first application). I reapplied it today to the door handles (while I did some more of the plastics), so hopefully the streaks will be gone. Of course I failed to get any pictures......

I love Cerakote, definitely works wonders for trim. I use it on my Tundra and 4Runner mudflaps, mirrors, bumper pads and the 4Runner side steps.

After a few weeks with Cerakote on my wheels, I’ll call it a success. They’re much easier to clean now. Can rinse off the vast majority of dirt on the wheels without agitating them. I spray some Shine Supply Wise Guy on the tires and wheels, then spray them off with the turbo nozzle on my pressure washer.

Doesn’t all come off 100%, but most of it does. Certainly good enough when doing a basic wash. Just the Wise Guy and pressure washer pretty much cleaned all of this off without having to use a brush.
