Does anyone have good photos of the OEM running boards on their truck they could share from different angles? Someone is selling a used pair within25 miles of me for $150, is that a fair price?

Like others have mentioned, if you plan on doing any offroading at all, just go straight for the sliders.

I'd like to start doing a bit more offroading but I don't really want to beat the crap out of my truck so my next major purchase will be sliders. Just one drop on the rocker panels will cost as much to repair as a pair of sliders so I'm going that route before doing any "serious" off-road exploring.

My truck has some crappy "Westin" nerf bar steps and they just look so "wannabe".
    :anonymous:

I thought about just talking them off but they do provide a bit parking lot protection, so I guess they'll stay for the time being.

Welcome from Houston, Let's see your ride, if ya do lots of serious offroading go with sliders, or if ya want the clean no show look, you have the AMP steps, good luck hunting with what ya want!

Thinking about changing though because all the road snow gets caught in it..I'd imagine that's normal for all but I guess we'll see.

I love the Go Rhino RB20’s. I did my research on this message board and I super happy with them.

They look amazing and they stick out just far enough to protect your doors from getting dents in parking lots. My dog uses them to get in and out of the back seat with no issues either.

Brand spankin' new member here, been eyeing the amp powersteps myself, did you get the xtreme version or the standard version? I'm your state neighbor in Montana, curious how they're holding up? Thanks for your time!

I didn't know there were different options available.

They are holding up and still working great! I just make sure there is no snow or slush on the steps before the go up when the doors shut.

Good idea, yeah, apparently they came out with one that works with the crew max, they doubled up on the motors and modified the board a bit, from what I've been able to glean from the interwebs, the "standard" ones hold up well. Thanks for getting back to me!

If you are considering Amp powersteps you may want to wait a couple months, they are coming out with their smart series that is controllable via a smartphone.

Sage advice, I'll do some more digging with amp and maybe they'll give me an ETA of what they've got planned

Those RC steps look good and have a nice price. I also really like those Go Rhino RB20 steps because they sit nice and tight. I do not care for steps with a large drop unless the truck has a large lift.

I am not sure what mine has on it, or even if they are factory. They work well and dont look too bad but I would like to replace them with something a little tighter fitting.

I personally dont like the look of the predator/tube style steps. I ran some all black OEM boards that serve their purpose and dont stick out too much. If I needed them to drop lower I'd definately go with the Amp steps
