I would contact AFE for the correct part number that fits your truck, then shop for that number on Amazon.

    Mine is a 2007 5.7L

So I've actually been in the process of doing this for the past week. I pointed out how their website shows 2007-present 5.7L tundra but explained my previous comment about fitment. They asked for a part number so I pulled a number off sparks parts, but haven't heard anything back. Been about 5 days or so now.

    Interesting...

Did Toyota change the air box since 2007?

What year did the OEM Toyota part number change?

I bit the bullet. Their site says it will fit. We shall see.

I have the aFe Super Stock intake kit and love it. It uses the factory air box and adds a throttle body spacer and metal hose.

@Bakelite i'm probably going to do the SABM mod. I did it on my 2011 with a K&N drop in and noticed a lil bit of growl....very little whistle, but butt dyno seemed to have a better throttle response. I did notice my mpg went up by 1/2 to 1 whole up from 15.5 mpg to about 16-16.5 mpg for about 2 years after I installed it. Bought the parts on Amazon or auto zone(about $20-$25 for everything) parts shown below for reference. I plan on doing this too since this way pulls air from outside the engine bay like the original air box does, as in the other "cold air intake" kits get air from the engine bay. I'm getting the blue coupler to match the blue of my truck (as close as i can lol), black is available. also attaching a link from this forum that has some info as well. but if you want more, you can always utilize the search function searching "SABM". I believe there is a write up in the "mods" area withing the drop down links. https://www.tundras.com/threads/sabm-review.48388/#post-1258576

The filter that worked for me was part number 31-10247 Magnum Flow. Fit on my 18 - hope that helps.

Can you let us know how much of a noise difference it makes?

Curious to sound differences specifically between stock, just changing the air filter, and replacing the whole intake with aftermarket.

I'm only looking for improved acceleration sound!

I haven't noticed too much of a noise difference in just replacing the filter itself. I am planning on doing the SABM soon so can definitely give you an update. I do have an exhaust from @dirtydeeds that usually drowns out all the noise when I slam the pedal.

I am planning to go for the TRD replacement he offers when I'm ready, but I was thinking of starting with the intake. I have looked into the SABM, but I'm a little hesitant to install that myself(mostly the cutting aspect of it) even though it looks not too bad.

I hear you loud and clear. I did the N-fab quick strap spare install yesterday and was terrified about drilling a few holes in the bed. After a few AJT Design installs the ease gets a little better.
