I just got a quote from a dealer in Salt Lake City that a Pro exhaust installed would be around $1200. This includes tax. I know I could do this myself but I'm traveling right now, I don't have my tools, it's cold out and I don't want to get stuck trying to get rid of a factory exhaust. Is this a decent price? Thanks.

IIRC, that is about the going rate all dealers charge for that system installed. If you've never heard one in person, it sounds really good

Dealer sold me mine for $900. total for parts.
I had it installed for $90.
Could easily have done it myself if I had room and tools, but I don't mind paying for install.
Was very worth it. My favorite Mod to date.. :)

Dealer just quoted me $1083.50 for the exhaust, two hours labor at $138/hr bringing it to a grand total of $1319.22

I'm either going with Roman or Dirty Deeds for sure

After shopping around a lot I found what louscrw said, parts are about $900. But, from dealer to dealer the price varies a lot. Maybe you could buy it and have a nearby muffler shop install it?

2 hours labor is RIDICULOUS! Hell, I'm no mechanic and I did it in about half an hour.

I've never installed the TRD exhaust, but 2hrs seems absurd. I installed my BAMuffler system in about 20 minutes

Then I'd have to wait until I get back to NC in a couple of months. :( But it would be cheaper.

I literally dont have anywhere to install it that isn't a gravel driveway. But I'll suck it up and scrape up my back before I pay $135/hr lol

I just installed the 6" standard system from dirty deeds and a friend of mine that has the TRD dual said he likes the sound of mine better. We put his on when he got it and it took the two of us maybe 45 minutes. And that's because we double check all our connections and everything. Both of us ar peculiar over our trucks. I had my stock muffler taken off and dirty deeds one installed in like 30 minutes. Plus Keith is a really good guy to work with. Downside is it took me the full 30 days to get my system shipped to NC.

Joe you need to set them straight... that's just robbery. On a lift they can probably do it in 15 minutes.

Not if you do it yourself in the driveway with no lift and Tundra doesn't have a lift yet!

Easy but on your back trying to maneuver the pipes and loosen and tighten things, Priceless!

OP, just get it done, your on the road and I wouldn't wait 2 months the TRD exhaust is bad ass.

I would however try and negotiate with the dealer a little, you never know.

So you wait 2 months to save a $100? Hell no LOL.
Plus you will get a lot better warranty with the dealer installing it over a muffler shop. (you won't need warranty but that always helps with my wife).
On the down side your gas mileage will decrease since you will keep your foot in it listening to the sound, I love mine.

No, I think 2 hours of labor is $138, then they're adding tax with a small discount. Not $138 per hour. Still... tell them everyone else is quoting $1200 out the door and I'm sure they'll do it.

Hell if I was home I'd offer you my garage and my tools to do it yourself or with me. That's highway robbery for sure. I installed my Borla in about 30 minutes by myself, no lift.

I'm not sold on the sound. Had mines for 2 months and still don't really like it. Sounds muffled unless you floor it.

Is the link to what I've got. It's not dual exhaust, but after talking with Keith, he recommends not going with dual exhaust if you're keeping stock manifold. Although they do sell a dual exhaust system if that's what you're after.

Tried to upload a video of how mine sounded, but it won't take my iPhone video. Anyone know how I can post the video?
