Right!? My phone is on a magnet mount and I leave it there. The truck reads my messages and I speak to type but still sometimes I’ve gotta enter info on the device. I figure I can manage that without wrecking my rig. On another note, I can think of a few cups of coffee that almost cost me my life while trying to drink or handle while driving.

Yes but even if you attached it to the collar its still better than not having a seat belt at all and have your dog wonder around the car.In any major accident your dog will most likely die with or without a seat belt unless he is strapped in child’s carseat

 

Nope. TundyFundy is right here. In a collision, a dog will come right out of a regular collar (same physics that has pedestrians flying out of their shoes), then be injured by impact with interior surfaces.

A choke collar increases the chance of injury: broken neck plus may still come out of the collar.

Placing a dog in a body harness and attaching that at the back by a short seat belt connector is the best option. Gotta be short enough to keep the dog from striking any interior surface (or gear shift) in the event of a collision.

 

I use a harness for long drives and a collar for short drive to the vet or to the park down the street.
