I picked up the truck from the dealer yesterday. It's been so busy around here that I haven't had much time with the truck but I did get a couple pictures of the RW wheels. The beauty rings are still off because I plan on Plastidiping the the wheels and rings for now and powder coating them later.

Thanks! I like them too. Yes, this is a completely stock 2020 Platinum besides the OEM Rock Warrior wheels.

Ok, just making sure you had seen that.
I lucked out finding the wheels that I wanted. My personal preference would be to buy a used set of nice wheels than buy a cheap set of new wheels. I've had many issues with the finish on cheap wheels peeling or flaking as well as overall poor quality. Then again, I've got a set of expensive real beadlocks that I bought for my Tacoma before selling it; thinking it was going to be my 'forever truck'. I spent way too much on those and I'm not getting a reasonable return on selling them.

285/60r20 Ridge Grapplers measure 33.7/11.5, those should definitely fit on a +20 offset and a 2.5/2 inch lift. Guys are running 295/70r18 34.3/11.8 on the same setup.

Hey fellas, looking for some offset advice.
I’m running 285/75/18 on stock trd off-road wheels with a 3/2 spacer lift on 2011 dc 4x4. Looking to replace rims while my tpms sensors are getting replaced. Looks like I’ll be going with 18x9 wheel Vs the factory 18x8 (I believe). Is +30 the right neighborhood without having to cut body mounts? Thanks

So I have a 2012 stock Tundra with 18" tires. I'm looking at going to a 20" rim with new tires. Any concerns I should have about a correct fit? Thanks....

So what about a 2020 tundra TRO Pro? it has a different suspension. What is the max size tire you can put on it?

My journey ends with removing mud guards, front flap and bumper shims. I bought the the Tundra with steel wheels and 255.70.18. Ordered the and installed new set of wheels and tires a couple of days later. 275.65.18 paired with 18x9 +12.

I was not planning on getting a leveling kit, but I did due to the rubbing. I then installed the leveling kit and paired it with 5100 bottom setting. That lifted the truck 2.5-3". It made my 275.65.18 looks small due to the contrasting color.

After numerous research and reading through the post and calculating angles and what I can sacrifice even poor mileage, to get the look I am envisioning, on top of performance aspect and weight. I decided to go with Cooper Discoverer AT3 XLT 295.70.18. The overall diameter posted on Discount Tire website is 34.2, in actual measurement it was 33.75 before getting mounted. I will have some major rubbing in the front even after moving the bumper .5". A very slight rub in the driver side boody mount, but on the plus side, no BMC.

I will be modifying the front bumper trim to eliminate the rubbing using a heat gun to add a contour in the areas that are being affected. As for the mud guards, I will have to cut off the area to expose the body mount.

Tuff Country 2" level kit paired with Bilstein 5100 bottom setting.

I am happy how the truck sits, but I'll be shopping for a different set of wheels in the next few days. +25 offset or bite the bullet and get 285.70.18 Ridge Graplers.

I have after market 18” rims. Everything else is stock besides the leveling kit I got now which gives me 3” lift. I want to improve the ride with the bilstein 5100s but they don’t give a full 3” lift

Right but your aftermarket rims potentially have a different offset than your factory rims. The larger the offset, the farther out your wheels protrude. It also leads to more plastic rubbing due the larger pivot arm.

Hi all, just a quick question.. on the 20" rim on 3rd Gen Tundra with no lift, this says max tire size is 275/60/R20, one inch taller. Why not any wider? Stock size is 275/55/R20. Is clearance so tight that a 285/55/R20 wouldn't fit? That'd be only 10mm wider.

I had 20's on my Tundra, 20x9 +50 offset, completely stock 2wd suspension and I ran 285/55 BFG ko2s. No rubbing anywhere at anytime.

I have a 2011 Tundra SR5, with towing package. All stock. Want to get new wheels +18 offset. 275 65 r18 tires. Will this need modifications?

The 285/55/20 comes stock on some TSS or Texas Edition trucks with 20x9 +50 OE wheels. If you have those wheels, you can go to a 275/65/20 and not rub. I put the 275/65/20 on an aftermarket 20x9 with +12 offset and had to remove the front mud flap and aero dam pieces. But other than that it was fine.

I recently ditched my aftermarket 20’s with 275/65/20 BFG and got some stock 18x8’s. Put on the 285/75/18 Nitto Ridge Grappler. Truck has Eibach sport leveling shocks set at 2” and 1.5” lift shackles in the back. I had previously removed the mud flaps and aero dam. I was expecting to need wheel spacers but there’s barely enough room between the tires and the UCA. Maybe 3/8”. There’s minor rubbing on the plastic liner in front of the tire but you can’t even hear it.
Love the look of the truck. Very happy with the outcome and satisfied with the look. Having a 285 vs a 275 really does wonders for the look of the truck. The 285/75/18 is essentially a 35x11.5. The ridge grapplers are awesome tires. They ride well and are very quiet. I couldn’t be happier.
I was going to go with the Cooper AT3 in the same size but, Nitto gives Discount Tire employees a 25% rebate when we purchase a set of tires. Cooper doesn’t. That made it a no brainer. :D
