I have a ‘17 CM with a shell. I’m wondering if anyone has removed the cab light that illuminates the bed, and used that wiring for rear pods or another type of light in the back?

thinking of adding pods in back and using same wire and switch

Thanks. I assumed I’d be using the red and ground wire but I suppose ur right. I don’t need to use the ground wire from that rear bed light. I could ground it anywhere.

Don't overload the wire gauge or the circuit's maximum amps. If what you're adding exceeds either then use a relay as suggested above.
