This is when I first bought the Sequoia. Now I'm lucky if I get 300 miles to the tank based on the computer. Manually calc gets me around 14 mpg.

No, it's the regular 5.7 engine. I wonder if it had anything to do with the fluids I replaced after I bought the car or my heavy foot :monocle: I've only put 87 fuel, replaced with Pennzoil Platinum 0W-20 High Mileage, Mobil 1 75W-90 differential fluid. Regardless 300 miles to a tank seems to be the norm with the 26 gallon tank, I'd generally fill up 19-20 gallons after going almost 300 miles.

My Sequoia was getting 14mpg up until a day or so ago when I realized that going 70mph would get me about 17mpg. I didn't realize that there was this much difference. In MS the speed limit is 70 and the flow of traffic is usually about 85 or so. So over 70 it drops SIGNIFICANTLY....I'm sure this goes for Tundras as well.

Good move. I knew the truck wasn’t a Prius when I bought it. I don’t even look at the MPG, just miles to empty.

I’m running about 12 mixed driving. Makes me cry because I fill up twice a week. Picked up a matrix. No more crying.. just smiles when I drive it now.

I got out of a 16 TRDOR Tacoma into the 19 Tundra PRO. I knew it would drink more fuel, but I needed the power for towing the boat. Must say I have been pleasantly surprised at the fuel mileage my PRO gets. I'm older now, so I don't mash the skinny pedal like I did in my younger years. Most of my driving is around town, to and from the lake, or over to my father in-laws house. It's seldom that I ever get on the interstate. Picture below is from driving home from my FIL's one day, and I was shocked when I turned off the key and saw that 20.1 MPG average. Most of the time I average between 16-18. My PRO has the 38 gallon tank, which makes it even better IMO. Have ZERO regrets, love this truck beyond words.

Yep, along with wind direction. I make a regular north south 160 run to deer hunt. A big south wind going down can drop it by 2.0. One hwy has 75 mph posted speeds and it is a mixture of 2 lane plus passing lanes due to hills. I use TH in hilly section and it seems to help. CC in the hills will hurt MPGs. These hills are big enough to hit 4th when CC is on. I think on these trucks 65 is the sweet spot. If I could run 65 I would average 18 maybe higher on flat roads.

I find it interesting when people complain about their Tundra's MPG. They post how upset and surprised they are but all I read is how they are telling everyone that they make major buying decisions with out doing any research. I think their posts make them look like fools!

This was part of the contract when your signing your right. But believe it or not. Still cheap rather having benz. Paying 91 all the time drives me crazy. Glad bought the trundra!

I can beat that. Filled mine up 3 weeks ago, and it's still on FULL. But I will be glad when things get back to normal.

NO LONGER HAVE A TUNDRA... Waiting
If you're complaining about mileage then sell it and get yourself a Prius or a electric vehicle. I'm sure WE ALL knew what we were buying when we bought these Tundras.

I just fill up and not even look at the MPG, just do it, pay up and drive off.
