Finally got these lights dialed in. Wish I had a dark place to go play and get some good pitch black shots to see cut off too. But you can see these lights are wide and intense and blend in the with the oem leds very well. My driveway is sloped too. So the truck is pointed down. Hence a cutoff that seems really low off the ground across the street.

 

these arenʻt the greatest pictures, but it was almost pitch black on the road, with the moon setting behind me. first pic is just headlights and the second is with the ss3 sport fogs on.

I really like these lights! Great output! Are the lens removable? I have thought about buying the clear sport lights and taking the clear lens and finding an orange amber paint to match my light bar and raptor lights.

the white lights use a 6000k led. Putting a yellow or amber filter in front of that will result in green light and very diminished output. Just get yellow if you want yellow.

 

Oh, I didn't think of this. Would I work better to add an orange to the yellow light? In theory, it would turn an orange-red color.

 

the yellow fogs use a 4000k led. This would yield much better results. But why do you want to change the color? You get better performance, useable light and output with selective yellow.

 

I just prefer the orange amber and hope to match my current light bar and raptor lights as much as possible. I wasn't aware that this yellow was better than other amber?

Are your lights actually orange? Most manufacturers often refer to yellow as amber or vice versa. Morimoto sells an “orange” tint fog light, but the output is horrible and worse than stock.

Yeah, my amber is orange. My raptor lights will be the same color, but I haven't wired those up yet.

haven't seen any. They mentioned they are working on fog lights adapters for gen 2.

 

That would be nice. I want a set for my sequoia. I did dm them on Instagram but they said they cant confirm fitment. That i might run into fitment issue. Guess we'll have to wait it out and see.

I currently have Morimoto 2.0’s but the passenger side shuts off sometimes.

I wanted to go with a better warranty

 

I have morimoto too but i want more light. Especially for rain and snow. I like the yellow or amber ss3. Gotta wait til they release bracket for my 2nd gen bumper.

 

I’m thinking these will be an upgrade to my Morimoto’s.

I did research for a couple of months. And checked out the reviews. I think it will be a sweet look especially with the LED Toyota Headlights

 

The morimotos are not even in the same league as the SS3s. Oem led fogs have higher output than the morimotos
