Hello all. After many hours of research, Ive decided to go with all 4 5100s on my new 2017 CM TRD. I dont abuse my trucks or off road much at all. 95% on pavement and 5% hitting a field or trail for hunting. (I do haul a quad in the bed most of hunting season).
I am wanting a leveling kit just for ascetics so I can get aftermarket wheels and tires. I hate the TRD wheels.

So I have a few questions:
    1. Most people say to keep the fronts on the middle setting for a better ride. On the mid setting, will I have any problems with 33s rubbing? I dont want to remove the factory mudflaps etc or hack and cut my new truck.
    2. I dont mind spending a little extra for a diff drop kit. Even if its not necessary if you only raise the front 2", will it help installing a diff drop?
    3. If I decide to go with a bigger tire (35") will I need to add the spacer and have the 5100 in the top position?
    4. With the 5100 in the top position, will the ride be worse than the factory TRD Billys?
    TIA

Tire fitting really depends on the offset of the wheel you are going to get. If you get around 30-35 offset wheels, you should be able to install 35 inch tires with Bilstein kit. Most people, at that size will keep them at the top setting. Since you are coming from the TRD shocks, you probably won't complain about the ride. Those coming from the non-TRD package (very soft shocks) tend to complain somewhat.

Hey Jason, I have the 5100 @ top setting and love the ride quality on road. Gave me about 2-1/4" lift. Funny thing I just posted about moving away from the 5100, only because I do a little more serious off-roading. Let us know which route you take.
