Just signed papers on a my new tundra.

The dealer messed up and sold the truck that I was signed paperwork for and had to find another one...

Long story short... the truck they found me did not have the factory spray on Bedliner as ordered and the "tundra" logo is missing due to the plastic drop in liner. They are removing and adding the spray on liner before I take final delivery. I have a due bill with this logo included and told them it's a deal breaker if the logo is not added... because it's fucking cool!! That's why!!

Anyone have any experience on this and getting a non-factory installed spray on liner with the logo added??

My 2014 has no such logo... aftermarket Line-X bedliner
    That logo is BADASS!

Yeah the factory bedliner quotes the logo too which is why I said it's a deal breaker lol

That Tundra logo on the back wall is the only way to confirm that the spray on bed liner is genuine from Toyota.
Long time back there was a youtube video that showed how the Logo was placed and then the bendliner been sprayed on. I couldn't find that video but may be somone else can.

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
I would make the dealer find that logo and spray it in there for you.

I mean it’s Toyota right? Your dealer knows the tricks on how to get you what you want. The customer is never wrong in this deal.

I don't "think" the dealership can do the Bedliner that has the logo. I looked at my vehicle sheet and it shows as being as a "port" item, so that means some central location. While the dealership can probably do a bedliner, its probably just subbed out to a local LineX or Rhino shop.

GTFO!!! My spray-in bed liner was done in the port ("distributor installed option"), and I didn't get no logo! :frusty: :ohsnap:

I just hope for all you 3rd gen owners Toyota has done something to prevent the bed rust issue they have. Because not having a spray in bed liner is not what causes it.

I’d say mostly true. Having a drop in liner can cause it. Also if I remember correctly, yours rusted from the underside up? Sounds like contaminated welds or cheap metal on the cross brace. Everyone needs to lube those areas up underneath the truck tjat live in salted regions. A spray in liner can help from the top side but only if you keep care of the underside.

Yep so true. My body guy told me they really need to put some body epoxy or something like that between the two. Just sucks my truck has been well taken care of. O well I think I'm going to pull the bed this summer and coat under it also.

The logo is cool but if your dealer is being an ass about tell them to keep their bedliner and get it done aftermarket. Most have signifiganly better warranties and if you have an issue, warrantable or just damage you can take it back to the shop that did it and they can fix you up...when your toyota warranty is up that's it...and good luck getting them to tough it up if you damage it.

Yup I was going to say if they cant do it the way you want with the logo, tell them that you want them to fork over the cash to get the Line-X top of the line spray on which is the Platinum version and way more than they would spend to find a Tundra logo.
