but it needs done. old, flaky switch pros unit is coming out. shiny new 9100 unit going in with @sdhq_offroad mounting plate. doing a little reorganizing while i’m in there.

Where did you mount it with the dual battery kit? Did it still fit in front of it?

just got the external trigger on the switch pros working. rear baja designs squadrons now come on when shifting into reverse or with the switch. this is something i've wanted for a long time and the SP made it super easy.

i routed the pink wire from the SP across the engine bay to the relay box against the firewall on the passenger side. used a t-tap on the blue wire with red stripe. it's the light grey connector in between the white and black. the wire is second from the right.

    Photo Dec 09, 2 00 22 PM.jpg

once it was connected, i fired up the truck and brought up the switch pros app on my phone. go to settings > external triggers. the pink wire corresponds to trigger 1 in the settings. enable the trigger, leave it at active high and then set output 1 to the switch you want to turn on.

    Photo Dec 09, 1 57 37 PM.jpg

in my case, switch 4 is for my reverse lights. if you want several switches to turn on, you can set them in the remaining outputs.

easy peasy and works like a champ.

so, no truck updates. just spending the day making a list and cold calling (phone and email) to try and get some new clients. it's really the only part about my studio that i don't like. necessary evil and all that. so. not. fun. the marketing side of the business has never been my strong suit.

TOTALLY get that ... [While I'm retiring from one career, my wife and I have a business on the side [that more than doubles my current job's income] which required a lot of that at first [sigh].

And THAT is why we will not move, even though we are at the point in life [kids out of college for a while now] where we could: because we are not going to go through all of that again. [We can't fly around and make money like you do.:D]

pre-sales technical consultant in industrial automation. not really my thing but i've been in it for a very long time.

you think? wasn't just me though. entire team went from a 90/10 split to 80/20 but when they start letting people go, pretty sure i'm at the top of the list.

i'm going to start hanging out at monaco and colfax with the homeless. my butt looks a bit better so i'll probably make more but there are a couple of guys with some serious sign flipping skills. there'll be a little competition for me.
