Ok, the unit showed up and I took a stab at an install. It should have been a simple task, as the bottom of the unit has a strip of double sided tape. Just remove the protective backing and press it down and voila.

Except, the tape doesn't actually make contact with the bottom of the unit and won't stick.

I'm going to try a different thickness tape. My concern is thicker tape will ruin the flush mount look. I'll report back if I find a winner.

I'd try some heat too...that, with the thicker foam tape, might be enough for a "more" factory look...er...refined look...I too am dealing with the same annoyance...

I picked Rago. Follows the lines of the dash and looks clean compared to other solution that can be bought at the moment.

I went with the Rago Setup as well. I find that it fits better, with cleaner lines. It wasn’t a hard install either. It took me about an hour after watching the install video.

Love the sleek look that one has compared to the ICS that sticks up

+1 for Rago. Fits the dash perfectly and looks rugged yet refined. Great customer service too.

I ended up adding another layer of double sided tape and that was enough to secure the unit to the dash.

Now, a larger problem has emerged. The cradle doesn't secure the phone.

I have a Pixel 3 XL phone (on the larger side). If I put the phone in the cradle and press the gas pedal, the phone comes flying out and hits the cup holder or gear shift. It doesn't take much.

A smaller phone might be ok, but be aware of this.

I'll be taking this unit out and replacing it with something else.

Hey, man, what are those connecting points called [what's the technical name for those connector holes]: are those screw holes or what?

    Thanks

Has anyone torn apart their 2020 Limited+ Tundra?
The dash panels are a bit different that older one that they highlight in Rago's video.
Wanna keep all my clips intact!

I was thinking of making a wireless charger and place it under the mat or something along that!
If anybody has done it before please feel free to reply. It would help :)
