Seed Savers Exchange is a great place. All or most of their seeds are heirloom.

I agree, I tend to use them and Baker Creek. Have an order on the way to the house now from Baker Creek as a matter of fact...

What I found was Black Krim was very good in flavor, pretty good in productivity, but was more prone to cracking than other tomatoes.

Cherokee Purple was less prone to cracking, but wasn't as productive. Flavor was very good.

Overall, I think a very slight edge to Black Krim, but both are very good. Looking forward to some summer pics of the garden :)

We have 11 raised beds in the back and 40 grow bags on the deck. Tomatoes, peppers, eggplants and okra on the deck and everything else in the beds. Right now we have a steady supply of kale, brocolli, spinach, celery, chard, collards, bok choy, and the turnips , beets and rutabegas and carrots are slowly developing. Also some English Peas...getting ready to start seeds for the summer garden. We will have, in addition, to the deck plants, varieties of winter and summer squash, more beets, more kale, sweet potatoes..beans. Have not had much luck with irish potatoes but the sweet potatoes are crazy productive. For tomatoes I have some hybrid varieities I have bought seeds from Univ of Florida that are amazing (Garden Treasure and Garden Gem). also black cherries for eating and have to have one sammich tomatoes (usually cherokee purple but I am playing with that black krim is also good. We also have blueberry bushes, blackberries, a mulberry tree (that has yet to produce more than a handful) and figs. We like to order from Southern Exchange seed company though I may have to go to Baker for some other varieities. Not too bad for a 0.4 acre lot in HOA-land.

Harvested the remaining Jalapenos today before the weather gets too cold.

These are from 2 small plants in our little above ground herb garden.

Time to find a pickeling recipe.
