The video about the Tundra in that link is 7 months old.
They are literally recycling old videos and putting them in to new articles. Talk about BS clickbait.

We think this may happen but we dont know.
I could be this or this but we do know it may not happen and quick as others have said before or it may happen sooner.

That's about the only new bit from the video. Got me wondering if they'll bring a double cab back. Instead of 1 frame like now, just make one cab. Then have a 5.5' bed for those wanting a smaller wheelbase but have a 6.5' that so many want.

Along those lines - they share the RC, DC, and CC between the 1,2,3 50's. I'm more talking not even making a DC anymore, only RC and CM but different bed lengths with those cabs.

What about those of us that want the longer bed but not the longer wheelbase. I like my double cab with a 6 1/2 foot bed. I’d be willing to give up 6 inches of the bed to gain 6 inches in the cab. But I don’t need that whole foot that the crew max offers in the cab.

The counter point for that is what's been going on the last 15 years - what about those of us who want both the foot of cab and foot of bed? To cut costs since Toyota doesn't do the volume the big 3 do they made a sacrifice for 2007 to not have a big bed with the big cab. I'm spitballing with the idea, but to keep costs down this time are they going to go down to 2 cabs from 3, and that's assuming they keep the RC and 8 ft bed. Heck I could even see them getting rid of the regular cab and going solely crewmax. Basically I wouldn't be surprised by any combination of the above, but it is cool to see an option we currently don't have that so many want.

I like Double Cabs. Would not make sense to discontinue Double Cabs. If they will offer a shorter wheelbase, why only offer the shorter bed with it?

I would lose a lot interest if CREWMAX is the only Cab option. Just like the possibility of being forced to choose a TT V6 or hybrid is a turn off to many already.

Regular Cab was discontinued in 2018. Fleets are going to be less interested in a CrewMax. Toyota kept the DC w/ 8ft bed for anybody that still wants an 8ft bed.

I remember from a Tundradude34 video that his insider source said that the New Tundra will be a 22 model but will release early 21. A launch similar to what Ram did with their 19 trucks.

Looks like Toyota finally got a little smarter, made a 6 lug hub instead of the 5 lug hub.
Which I never understood Tacoma, 4Runner has 6 lug, but the larger heavier Tundra & Land Cruiser had 5 lug.

It'll all come down to costs - if they do in fact make a CM with a 6.5' bed would they make enough on DC to justify building them. It's a question I don't know the answer to, but going either way wouldn't surprise me. I know for me the only reason I got a DC was to get the 6.5' box, and I had already made up my mind to buy a 2022 in a crewmax, whether it was still only a 5.5' bed. Now that it looks like there will be a 6.5' option I want it even more, best of both worlds. The extra size doesn't bug me, I used to drive CCLB 1 tons for work so my current Tundra is small for me to drive

As long as they keep offering an 8 foot bed like mine, I may buy another.

You can use the frame of a Double Cab with 8 ft bed.

But can Toyota afford to lose those that want a Double Cab with 6.5 bed? I sure wouldn't want to switch to a crewmax.

Sounds to me like Toyota shouldn't be making a new tundra if they can't afford it without cutting out basic features like an Extended Cab. Or a Trans cooler. Lol:)
