Hi guys! I have a question about towing and the tires that are on my truck. I want to know if you all think my tires are fine or if you would upgrade. My tires only have about 15k miles on them so I don't really want to change until I have to. I'm running 305/55/r20. Nitto Terra Grappler G2s. They are P rated tires. I tow a travel trailer, about 6500 lbs. It tows great, I have zero complaints. The max psi on the tires is only 50 psi, when I'm towing I pump up to 42. Let me know your guys thoughts on if I should look at swapping to an E rated tire or if what I'm currently running is good.

You’re fine. Got money burning a hole in your pocket? Get a TRD rear sway bar...

just like the post above, your fine. air up all four tires when you tow. Now if you were dragging the camper full time, I would upgrade the tires.

    I wouldn't even sweet it.

In the Tundra tire sizing, it's difficult to find either a P metric or LT load range E, which is way overkill for a 1/2 ton truck.

Some manufactures make a LT load range C, but I do believe that size is on the 18" wheel.

Awesome. Appreciate the feedback. I'll just keep running what I'm running then.

I upgraded to “E” rated BFGoodrich KO2 Tires and it made a big difference. Thick sidewalls help to keep the truck moving left to right - I air up to 70 psi. I found that to be the right number when towing. I started with 45 psi and work my way up until I found the right combination.
