So, after much research, I've decided to go with the Level 8 Mk6 18" wheels in gunmetal with TRD center caps.

I've also decided to change my almost-brand-new Nitto Ridge Grappler 285/75R18 to 295/70R18 tires.

I looked at a bunch of tires as well, and I narrowed it down to either the RG's again or the Geolander X-AT in the same size.

I am very much leaning to the Geo's, but was hoping to see some pics, preferably of the same size, on a Tundra.

I know it is not a very big change in sizes, especially considering that I JUST bought these RG's a month ago, but I want the tires to stick out just a bit more than they do and I think that going from stock TRD wheels with a 1.25" spacer and 285's to a +18 with a 295 and no spacer will push it out to where I am looking for.

I figure I can recoup some of the cost because I am going to sell my new RG's, the TRD wheels and the spacers.

Anylevel8.jpg body using the X-AT's? Couldn't find much on the search.

    Thanks!

How far your wheels stick out is more determined by your wheels offset rather than your tire size. From what I saw on level 8s site they only come in a -10 or 0 offset. Either of these will push you further out than what your trd wheels are currently providing. Have you received your level 8 wheels yet? Do you know the offset of the wheels purchased are?

just for reference here is a picture of my truck on 295/70/18 rg but more importantly with a wheel w 0 offset

Where are you located? If you’re close by i’d buy your ridge grapplers for the right price.

The difference between a 285/75 and a 295/70 is almost indistinguishable. Not worth the money you’re losing in that move IMO

Yes, I almost agree. Unfortunately, I REALLY want them to stick out just a tad bit more, and I am the type of person that gets OCD about wanting what I want on my vehicles. In the past, I can't make myself stop wanting what I want until I do it, even if it doesn't make financial sense! The 1/4" the tires will push it out plus the 1/2" the new wheels will push it out will be just enough. Plus I won't have to use the wheel spacers anymore. I could even live without the 1/4" extra width (plus the 1/4" on the inside of the tire as well), except for the pizza cutter effect, I think, would be too noticeable without the width on both sides. Actually, the tire is a little more than that with the Yokos. That tire measures 12" even while the 285 RGs are measured at 11.28", so it is really an additional 3/4".

But I get what you are saying.

Are those the Yoko 295s? And what wheel/offset are you running?

    Thanks for the pic!

The width may be in the mid section and not the tread...

I had my stock tires on 18x9 wheels +18.

Swapped down to stock wheels with 1.25 spacers. Same tires.

They stuck out more with the method wheels. Wheels alone might get your desired look. Use the interactive wheel measuring tools onlibe

When you had the +18 wheels on, how did you think the tires looked? Did it look too skinny? I’m wondering if the 3” lift would add to the skinny tire look. If it wasn’t lifted I don’t think it would have that at all, but when I park next to my friend’s Tundra with lift and 35x12.50 I see I big difference. But I might consider what you are saying

35x12.5 is an entire different class compared to even a 295/70.

I saw two tundras side by side yesterday in a parking lot. One had 295/70 and other 35x12.5

They make 295/70s look like stock tires

@Mr. Seven has these wheels also with 295 70 18s. Look him up. I ordered these wheels in bronze for my voodoo blue sport, but I'm not lifting it, yet.

Any idea how much those level 8 MK6 wheels weigh in at? They look nice!

Did the trd center cap fitnin just right? Or did that take modifications to make it work?

Here's a pic of wheel poke on mine for reference: 295/70r18's on 18x9 Level 8 mk6 (+12mm offset).
@Big J discount lists this wheel as 33lbs.

Contemplating these in gun metal for my cement CM. It's either these or keeping my TRD off road wheels and vinyl wrapping the brushed aluminum in grey.

The only pics I can find are bronze. Trying to see this color on a truck.

Did you keep your mud guards? What mods did you do to make the 295.70.19 not to rub?

Great choice of wheels. Wondering the same thing about that center cap. Please let us know. Thanks.
