Any Rucker’s on here? I’m a hunter and big outdoors man. Got my ass kicked on my first real elk hunt last year.

Finally broke down and bought a GoRuck pack and 30lb plate this week. Going to get out and try to break a sweat this weekend!

Share your gear and how you Ruck.

Literally doing the same; I've got a Goruck pack and about 25# in it....looking forward to hitting trails soon.

I have completed a handful of GoRuck events. Love them. I still ruck to prepare for backpacking.

My wife has done 550 miles over 5 years on the PCT. I’m getting ready this year to do a bunch with her. Preferred method for us is to use sandbags / blankets and load up the pack you would wear on the trail. No different than your hiking shoes/boots, you need to break in and adapt your calluses and muscles to the gear you’ll be using.

To get ready for hunting season, I wear my hunting boots (Danners or my old Hermans), and use the pack I wear for hunting. I have a work out sand bag with four 10# sand bags. I usually start around now (Spring) with 20#, by start of summer with 30# and hopefully the 40#. Still not exactly like hunting conditions, but being in my mid-50s, I can keep up with just about everyone I've hunted with.

I have been an avid backpacker for a long time and just got into hunting. I am planning an elk hunt this Fall out West. Bought a couple ruck plates just for wearing around all the time without the bulk of my full pack. I’m actually going to downsize a bit…I have had an old school Bozeman Dana 80L pack since college. I bought it used as my first and only pack. Probably going to grab a Stone Glacier here pretty soon. A couple hunting buddies and I have talked about doing a dry run or two here in Tennessee before Fall. Can’t wait. Got hooked BAD. Lol.

I picked up an EXO Mountain Gear K3 a couple years ago. It is the most comfortable pack I've ever worn. Loaded up to 70 lbs in it for a short 3 mile test and it felt like 30.
