@boardude Was that anywhere near Pistol Hill? I went back there couple years ago in my Tacoma and always meant to go back and explore

Yes sir - This was on Pistol Hill at one of the AZ trailheads. There are a ton of trails that wind back behind the hills and down into the caves campgrounds. There are a few tight spots with the brush though that will earn you some AZ pinstripes lol

I made the eyelids. I couldn't find anyone that made any for the 2014+ and didn't want to slap vinyl on the headlights. Heres my writeup Fiberglass Eyelids

Its the Dakine tailgate pad. It has velcro straps that you can secure the bikes to but the bikes fit pretty snug on it and stay put. They make a couple different sizes and I have the smaller one since I originally got it when I had my Taco

Neither can I! Interested to see how difficult the install will be. I've done a couple header swaps on some 4 banger hondas back in my Fast n Furious days but nothing like this lol

Yeah when I talked to Keith he mentioned that a small area of the passenger side cab will need to be tapped and massaged just to slip these in lol.

Dirtydeeds dyno'd these and it was around 40 hp. And thats with the stock cats welded into the mid pipes.

What's more is the low end tq gain. With 2 cats he said it would be around 60 pounds gain.

Yessir! If I added his "race exhaust" it would yield about 8 more hp and 10lb ft of torque.

This is all part of my master plan with the end result of a SC!

WOW! Since I don't know much about exhaust, does the stock exhaust only have one cat? And by doing the long tube headers and a second catalytic converter you'd see both the aforementioned horsepower and torque gain?

Yeah, there are 4 stock cats. The diameter of the exhaust and how many cats there are and what brand of headers you use, all factor into the amount of gain you get.

Were you able to retain the TRD Pro front skid plate with that NFAB bumper without any modification? Did you just remove all the trailer wiring connections on the rear bumper for that NFAB rear bumper, or did you relocate them somewhere? Great build!

Yeah the front bumper works with the TRD Pro skid. The bumper skid that it comes with it slightly overlaps the TRD skid. For the rear wiring, I relocated the trailer wiring harness and utilized one of the license plate lights for the new bumper. I'll take some pics later.

So the chrome tips on the TRD exhaust has always kinda bugged me especially since I don't have chrome anywhere else on the truck. I also don't really care for the dirty bare steel look on the exhaust pipes. So I decided to change it.

Used VHT primer and header paint to paint the tips and pipes that are visible from the rear. If anyone is interested I can do a DIY and list all what I used.

Yes please do the list, I've been wanting to do mine ever since I got it just haven't taken the time to look into the best way of doing it.

Also, how long have they been painted for? I'm curious of how well the paint will hold up. On my old tundra my pipes were black and the paint started to chip off so I would occasionally just spray high heat paint on them but I would have to do so every couple of months.

The black pipes do look waaaay better. I'm not sure I wanna paint my tips, they look good black but I worry about adhesion. The bumper info and pics is really helpful....Thanks man!
