    You Sir lucked out.

I have a background in information technology. I get people yelling/frustrated and hanging up on phone calls so i have learned alot about bad customer serivce and have build a lot of tollerance for it and also because i understand it takes time to fix something. However with this guy, I stand my ground about him. I've never had such bad/ignorant customer service in my life.
I'd rather pay extra and get the same auto starter installed by someone who knows then to ever buy from him.

I installed this today. I bought it from anderson_electronics_inc on eBay. The Fortin Evo One, long range remotes, and all harnesses for $297 shipped. Awesome seller, responded within minutes to questions I sent. I ordered it on a Sunday and received it on Wednesday. The Evo One came completely programmed for my truck options and worked perfectly first time.

After watching all the videos and reading the install guide it was pretty easy to install. Probably about 1.5 hours all in. It helped that I’d taken the dash apart a couple times already for my trailer break controller upgrade and the anytime fogs.

I also just installed a remote start on mine this weekend. I had to go with 12v solutions for mine, evo one could not tell me for certain if theirs would work in the 19 model since they haven’t tried it on one yet, so I had to pay for the more expensive option.
I must say it only took me like 45 minutes from start to finish. I just followed the YouTube Video. Completely Plug & Play. Works great.

The THAR-TOY7 includes the THAR-TOY2 and the THAR-TY50 harnesses. It’s pretty confusing. When I opened mine I thought I got the wrong one because the one was labeled Toy2 and neither of the harnesses was labeled Toy7. But after some digging online I found out the Toy7 is just the Toy2 plus the other one. And it installed super easy - plug and play except the key sense wire.

Do you have a factory alarm on yours? I do on my 2017 and even though I connected the key sense wire like Fortin says I’m supposed to, if I use the remote to turn OFF the truck after remote starting, the alarm goes off. What I’ve read says it’s the key sense wire but I soldered it so it should be good. Trying to decide if I care enough to take the dash back apart to check it. Probably won’t be turning it off much or ever with the remote. But I’m curious if anyone else has the same experience.

I just installed the EVO One in my '19 today and it works fine. I bought it with the cables as a kit from Tech12Volts. I did have to cut one wire on my truck for the TPMS and solder a wire from the harness to each end of the cut. After watching the video many times and studying the instruction sheet that comes with the EVO for a while the install was easy.

Figured I'd pass along some info from my 19 CM install.

I went with an EVO one and Thar-10 harness. I got the harness on eBay from Anderson Electronics. The evo one I got elsewhere. I already had the programmer for Fortin gear. All went well with the installation. But I noticed my parking lights wouldn't flash while the truck was running during RS.

I reached out to Fortin and they had me do some different things but the long and short is that D1 and D3 are tied internally to the same relay as A17 and A18. You can use one or the other but not both. What this means is the Fortin instructions do not account for the autolight circuit, which was preventing my lights from flashing. Not sure if 12V solutions accounts for it or not.

So if you want the lights to flash while the stalk is set to auto..... You need add a relay and cut the autolight wire in the harness. Hook one end of autolight to 87A on the relay and the other end of autolight to 30 on the relay. 85 on the relay goes to dark blue on the Fortin, which is ground while running, 86 on the relay goes to 12V ignition (thick red on large 6 pin plug of Fortin). This will open the autolight circuit during RS and close it once you take over. Pin 87 on the relay is no connect. I added a diode between 86 and 85 on the relay for piece of mind. Fortin tech support was touch and go but they did pass along the info that there aren't enough relays inside the module to deal with autolight circuit.

    Hope this helps someone.

I ordered from Anderson Electronics ebay store but it still hasn't shipped after over a week.

Anyone that ordered from there, how long did it take to ship out?

Longer list than the wife needs to know about....
I worked with Anderson to get the fortin and harness, They are* really responsive but it did take them a week or so to get shipped out. He will program it for you first so he sends you a questionnaire to be sure he programs it correctly. If you haven't responded to that its possible why your shipping is delayed.

That is unfortunately the end of my good experience with the Fortin product. I was unable to get my unit to program and their customer service was the absolute worst I've ever experienced. Claimed the THAR7 harness was not their product.... seriously its on your website? Anderson was helpful but because I took a year to get the thing installed it was no longer under any kind of warranty. ultimately took the thing out and threw it in the trash I may have had a bad unit or something but Fortin does not stand behind their product in any way.

Ouch. Ya that's not a good experience. Hopefully mine works out when I finally get it. Still waiting for Anderson to contact me I guess. I sent my vehicle info with my order but I guess they want to confirm it.

The programming step is not working for me. I hold the programming button down then plug in the main connector, but I don't get the 3 leds to turn to solid blue red only. The lights just keep cycling, even after 3 minutes.

Anyone have any suggestions? This step doesn't even involve any wire taps yet, only the Tundra harness which just plugs into the ignition. So there's not a lot that can have gone wrong.

Make sure headlights and fog lights are in the off positions. Mine would not program because fog lights was in the on position, which I typical just leave it in on position.

I had time to get back to it today. Turns out it was me misunderstanding the instructions. I was waiting for the lights to stay solid blue red but they will just keep cycling. I didn't realize you just release the button during the moment the lights are red blue.

Anderson electronics responded pretty quickly when I asked for help.

Only thing now is how to get the RF remote to work. I haven't found instructions and simply plugging it in doesn't work.

Edit. Found the instructions but I don't have the led lighting up at all on the transmitter.

I am having issues with my Evo One Remote Starter & Bypass. Over the past couple weeks it has been a cycle it goes through, it will (using the remote start) turn over and die out 3 seconds later, then try again to start then it will just crank and not start.

I have reprogrammed the module numerous times and even bought a new one with the same result. The SIL Wire it connected correctly.

I talked to Fortin already and they ran me through the steps even doing a master reset. I am using a flip style key right now and not an OEM key.

My doors lock and unlock fine and the alarm system is arming. Is there anything I could be missing?

Got the RF kit working. Truck goes back into armed state shortly after unlocking unless key is on ignition. Just had to press unlock then proceed right away with the programming

It's supposed to turn the alarm back on. Do you mean it makes the alarm go off (activate)?

Can anyone tell me if you have to remove the factory remote start? In the email I received from James Randy Taylor (who I bought mine from) it clearly states that the factory remote start must be removed, but I can't seem to find anyone that says they actually did so. And if it does have to be removed, can anyone tell me how? Thanks!

I just took the plunge and ordered the t-harness, evo-one, rf long range 2 way remote kit, and programmer for the truck. Will update once I have it installed. Also, doing some research on the Fortin site confirms what I was thinking I should be able to do. I will be enabling the "diesel" mode in the remote starter in order to gain a 30 minute runtime on remote start. All the diesel mode does is turn the ignition to on and wait 20 seconds before cranking to allow glow plugs to warm up for diesels. This is of no consequence to a gas vehicle...and I get 30 minutes of runtime that way. Will update once I have it installed.

    Update

Install went super easy. Long range remotes work great and diesel mode does work! There is also a setting to set no crank delay on diesel mode as well, so for a gas vehicle....diesel mode gets you 30 minutes of runtime. Also with the long range remotes you can reset the start running timer by holding the start button down again so if you’re paying attention to the time, you can get more than 30 minutes if you wanted. There were 2 “gotcha moments” but I figured them out. Had to do with the long range rf kit not wanting to enter programming via the antenna instructions. It went into programming no problem using the valet button instructions. Also, somehow I programmed the remotes only partially. They didn’t make the ascending start noise like they were supposed to when programming to the antenna. They would lock and unlock and start the truck but always did the lock and unlock 3 times because it wasn’t getting the 2 way confirmation. Doing the programming sequence for the remotes again and making sure to press the function button and then HOLD DOWN the lock button vs just pressing it, I got the ascending chime and green LED from each remote and then they stated working as expected. Stoked!

The only thing that I changed about the truck was I added a Tesla Android Unit, not sure if the units canbus adapter changed something. I never had much time before the accident to diagnose the issue. Did you use the T-Harness?

I did. Mine worked for almost a year without issue, then just suddenly stopped working. My battery is starting to go out, so I'm hoping that's the problem.

Which harness? The THAR-ONE-TOY2 or the THAR-ONE-TOY7. I would check the connections maybe something came loose, key sense wire from what I was told to check or the one behind the glove box.

So I recently picked up a cheap Carlink ascl6. However my Fortin will not go into programming mode to pair the Carlink. The little red light never comes on when I hold the program button down. I assume this is the red light next to the cut loop wires that come out of the module. Mine blinks nonstop by itself. The carlink works fine and shows gps and cell service, and the app shows battery voltage. Just no lock or remote start, all fail as programming never worked.

I have the Carlink main harness connected to the smaller harness per its instructions to connect it to the blue data port on the Fortin.

I bought the flashlink and set the proper Fortin 2 option as instructed under pro mode and unit, but it still won't pair.

There is another section in the flashlink under Wizard where it asks to set rf kit, and connection type. Does this need to be on none, or Evo start or Evo start 2? I've tried all but the none setting. And for connection, is it toy2 or toy7? No listing for the toy50 Randy gives us with the toy2.

Any ideas before I call fortin today?
I don't want to ask Randy as I did not by the carlink from him, just the Fortin with lifetime warranty.

Spent 2 hours last night trying to get this thing to pair, going back and forth with the flashlink.

Nvm guys. Seems my Fortin was just stuck.

A couple of reflashes and it finally worked.

Side note, make sure you pair the Carlink using the valet switch on the wire. It is part of the remote starter, the programming button on the module itself is part of the bypass. This unit is a 2 in one with separate buttons.

It will not work any other way. If you don't have the valet button, you will have to find a way to get, or perhaps make one.

    Last issue to chase down.
When unlocking with the app, it unlocks, then the truck relocks the doors in like 5 seconds on its own. The app confirms doors are unlocked, but they are not. After waiting and the app confirming its unlocked (wrong) you have to hit unlock a second time, then it seems to stay unlocked longer.

Another note on the Fortin. Make sure you connect the Keysense wire in the diagram if you have the OEM alarm, this is what makes the alarm go off when the remote start run cycle finishes, if you did not tap this wire. 20-22 gauge positap worked well here.

What are the odds this kit could be used to fix an intermittent factory-immobilizer-related no-start condition?

Im getting a remote start from these guys for my 07. They have a pretty extensive list of products. https://www.12volt.solutions/collections/toyota?page=1
Their plug and play is pretty easy to install. They have remte starts for 2007 all the way to 2020 Tundras. No gen 1 s that I could see though.

I have a fortin evo one installed and am looking into getting a rf kit remote fob. Would the RFK912 work? Says it’s good to 5000 ft. and I don’t need the trunk function with my manual lock tailgate. Also looking to see if I can add shock sensor’s?
