Driving to work this morning and witnessed an accident.

Was a young girl (About 17) in the big ass truck and a 20 something in the car.

When I stopped and made sure they were ok he told me she slammed on her brakes. I told him I don't care that I am making sure he is ok he said it again.
I said i have it on video and he said that he just got new brakes installed.

The mother has the video now in case douche bag plays the brake bullshit

Good on you for stopping. You are lucky he didn't fly into your lane. I wonder if we will eventually see dash cams mandated on all new vehicles.

I've really considered picking up a dash cam. What kind is that one you posted those videos with?

The info stamp shows it's a Rexing. Here's a good compiled thread of all of the discussions about dash cams: https://www.tundras.com/threads/all-of-the-dash-cam-discussions-in-one-thread.27906/

I've got a cheap Aukey that takes decent video. I think I paid around $50 for mine on sale. If I had to do it over again, I'd get a model with a rear-facing camera as well.

Ughhh - totally smoted that truck.

I love dashcams, mine has helped me with 2 accidents that kept me in the clear and it caught one that helped a lady as well.
    Worth every cent

I will never NOT have one again.

It saved me a few times with bullshit.

Once I passed a cop because he was doing 40 in a 55.
Accused me of speeding and illegal pass.
He said on camera that "They will believe a cop over a civilian"

I said remember that as you are on camera and took the tickets.
Went to court and the cop said he charged me with the wrong infraction and wanted to drop the charges.
I said I would be willing to accept the ticket now and we can go over it on the video.

They kicked me out of the court room or I would be charged with contempt.

Another time a nut job pulled in my driveway.

Another guy backed into me and I got his plate.

Shit goes south for me real quick all the time in a car so I got one of them.
