My 1" socket has been abused for 2 years straight instead of a wrench in my slugbuster kit. I don't think it's ever gonna break. Am I playing with fire? Yes. :bananadead:

You whiners about me sound like a bunch of pissy little girls, Lol. Put me on your ignore list, or what ever that nifty thing is called, so I don't have to read about the kiddies complaining about their little feelings getting hurt, Lol. Don't forget your little colored kiddo gloves. What you say is insignificant to me, but I do get a kick out of it!

Lmao! Rule #1 on Internet forums is don’t be a douche bag. Rule #2: don’t surf forums and surely don’t post/respond after midnight or while inebriated. Rule #3: see rules #1 and #2.

The reason for a two-step torque-turn procedure like these is actually fairly simple.

Torque-turn gives a more consistent clamping force that is less varied by friction and or lubrication on the threads. The torque part of the procedure gives an equal baseline, while the degrees turned stretches the bolt a pre-determined amount.

Sometimes the stretch is an amount the bolt will “spring back” from when loosened, sometimes beyond what the bolts will spring back from. Those are called torque-to-yield and the bolts are one-time use.

The more complicated procedures involving loosening are usually to make sure the mating parts are seating correctly together before the final torquing / turning.

    I hope this makes sense.

I went to Forbidden Palace on your links.

Interesting on your shipped gapping on the NGK’s. I’ll go back and research due to your link is broken. I just assumed the gapping was set accordingly. I’ll report back.

I just edited my post. I had the wrong Denso linked. I was looking at the 5VZ-FE by mistake.

    Links are working for me.

This thread is kind of amusing from a subaru owners perspective. We only change the sparkplugs when the headgasket goes out and you have to pull the engine as its nearly impossible in any other circumstances.

Looks like the shipped gapping is almost perfect for the OEM spec’d plugs I’m using. Rated for 30k miles but will be terminated earlier at 20k due to minimum expense.

I thought this was a ‘Holiday Roast Anyone About Anything’ thread. Pick something and ‘Roast’ it.

Only works if you’ve tough skin. Which reminds me... wheres my hand lotion?

Edit- I read it wrong again. I wonder why it's giving a different gap than the link I posted.
