I just picked up a 2007 double cab limited with 100,000. I called toytec and discussed all my needs.

They recommended I get off road as much as the next guy, but my days of driving toward obstacles were left in my 20s with my ability to function on a hangover.

So I'm definitely going with a Eibach 3" coil over in the front with the Boss shocks in the rear. They said to go with a 1" or 2" block in the rear. They said 1" if I want level and 2" if I want a little rake. The thing I want to avoid is having a taller front end after a few years of wear and towing my camper. I usually have a few tool bags or other random items in the bed. I also plan on getting a aftermarket steel bumper. I guess what i'm saying is there's typically a small static load (100-200 lbs) in the rear.

Anyone have experience running factory leafs with the 1" block? how is the level when carrying a light load?

    Any input would be appreciated.

p.s. toytec said there's not ride improvement with taller shackles so I'm going with blocks.

Go with the 2” block. That will give you approximately 1” of rake empty depending on the condition of the leafs. The 1” will definitely promote a nose high stance at 3” of lift.

    Hope this helps

Thanks @WestexSBK. That’s what I was thinking, but I wanted to here others opinion on it before I pulled the trigger

No problem sir. I’ve heard the same about TT shackles but I’ve heard the Poly bushings on the coach builder shackles improve the rears dampening

The TT poly bushings with the TT shackles help too. Had them on my 07. Bed bounce not near as bad. Same polys that CB uses.

I ran a 1” in block for a couple years then switched to 2” shackles I like the rake of a 3/2. And the ride going from a block to shackles was very noticeable. Pro form shakes are super beefy pair them up with poly bushings and you’re set.

Here’s what I bought these are 1.5” but if you contact them they have 2”....you can’t beat the for $60

I did the 3" boss with leaf expansion... 1.5" rear lift. Looks great and have about a half inch rake.
