Per the Toyota Parts Department at my local dealership, at the time of this writing (12/2019), it appears there is an error, or incomplete information, listed in the Toyota parts catalog when referencing the proper TPMS sensors for 2020 Tundra TRD Pro CrewMax with keyless entry and push-button start.

After building a set of wheels (with winter tires) and new OEM Toyota TPMS sensors (Toyota part # 42607-0C091), the sensors would not register with the 2020 Tundra TRD Pro ECU as per the instructions described in the owners manual. As a result the TPMS light on the dash would not extinguish and the psi of each tire would not be displayed.

    Problem solved:
Dealership installed new TPMS sensors (Toyota part # 42607-06030) and these sensors registered properly, with psi of each tire properly displayed in the instrument cluster.

As an aside, I went with Bridgestone Blizzak DM V2 tires (275/65 R18), and I'm very pleased with an OBVIOUS improvement in acceleration, cornering, and stopping in winter conditions.

Are the Toyota part # 42607-0C091 ones what are used on 2019’s Limited’s. I’m looking at getting some, figured I’d ask.

A trip to the dealer is going to cost you plenty. You can find the correct sensor for around $62.00 for 1 vs $100 at the dealer. Your truck will learn in the correct ones (Toyota part # 42607-06030) I used my Autel sensor reader and found that the difference is the length of the code. The correct ones are 7 digits and the 42607-0C091 sensor is 8 digits in length and the reason your truck can't learn them. The Autel sensors are $120 for 4 but you need the Autel reader in order to program.

    I have a 2021 RAV4 and am running into a similar problem.

It seems like the Toyota part # 42607-0C091 is for vehicles with a standard conventional key

    and

Toyota part # 42607-06030 is for vehicles with a SMART key - (keyless entry and push-button start).

    Can anyone confirm this?
