Yeah, liked the way they came out! I think the first time I've seen it in a 1974. Definitely worth it.

Not a huge fan of excessive badging, but the stamped recesses on the tailgate definitely need a little bling. Added these inserts from EyeCatcher and i think its a huge improvement.

It's the Kenwood Excelon DNX996XR. Got it from James Randy Taylor - tech12volt@gmail.com, great price, great support - cheaper than Crutchfield and an authorized dealer. Installed myself.

I can't blame ya for having someone else do the swap! I originally tried to do the NSV install and failed miserably, so had my local 4WP help me out.
No shame in paying to get mods done! Lookin good!

    A LOT... NEVER ENDS
After reading a bunch of posts on multiple forums on break squeaks after changing front brakes. I did my fronts (oem pads) and got the rotors resurfaced. Since then it squeaked but when they fully engage no noise (weird but whatever), read it was the new pads breaking in. Almost 2 weeks go by and the squeak was there still. Figured out it was the rears.

Today I took them apart, measured the pad thickness (still way good), cleaned the hell out of every piece, and used ceramic brake high temp grease (greased the hell out of them too). No more noise.

Actually found a thread on my exact situation Monday and long story short dude bro said if you do just fronts to clean and grease rears (his rears were bone dry too)

Road trip this weekend will be a true test but I'm confident I fixed it .

So satisfying when I successfully fix issues :bananadance::bananadance::bananadance::bananadance::bananadance::bananadance::bananadance:

I also figured out... 295/70R18 tires are stupid heavy

My wife got it for me from Amazon for Christmas. I followed some YouTube videos to cut the transponder out and put it in the new one. Pretty simple and forgiving. My only complaint is that it definitely feels cheap compared to the Toyota plastic, and in had to buy the Toyota emblem separately (due to trademark laws I'm sure). But it doesn't bother me that much because it seems to function well. Hopefully it can hold up to light abuse. Now that I know this works, if this cheap one breaks I will probably pony up for the Toyota one.

Stopped by my dealership this morning, they kept my truck to do a full detail(clay at/buff/wax). They didn’t even blink as the detail manager knew right away what it was and what had to be done. Gave me a loaner. Got a call it’s done but gotta wait for the wife since I don’t have my car seats for the kids.

Good news is the chrome delete is complete. Bad news is my great idea to black out my Limited grill didn't work out too well. The clearcoat and black paint started chipping off. Gonna have to strip it off. In the meantime, I went ahead and installed my color matched hood bulge, grill surround and TRD grill. Also vinyl wrapped my front bumpers. Haven't decided if I am going to put my Limited grill insert back on or not since it would be gray again. Any opinions?
