My opinion, not that you asked. Go for the pump. As close to zero mess as you can get.

I've used this one a few times for quart and gallon gear oil bottles. It even works for cold gear oil. Quick and easy. The gallon style doesn't thread into the quarts, but it still works fine for them. The pump is right up there with my vacuum pump for oil that allows me to suck hot engine oil out of the dipstick.

You're saying this won't thread onto a qt container but still works? Does it let you get all the fluid and not leave some at the bottom?

I used a pump luke the one shown. It definitely leaves a couple of ounces in the bottle. I had a few bottles though, so pouring the left overs into another wasn't that big of a deal. Using it for the rear different took forever though.

I tried but didn’t have the supplies. I ordered a white led and am going to replace the green led inside the drivers door for the light on auto for the window.

The quart style one is supposed to take longer. The gallon version took me maybe 4 minutes of pumping slowly or less to fill the front diff with 30-40* gear oil
It won't thread into the quarts, but will pump from them fine. I think I had to tilt it, but it got most of the oil out of the quart bottles and as army of one stated you can just combine your nearly empty quarts from there. He just must have been using a different pump than me because both of mine from slippery Pete have been pretty quick to fill a differential.

How the hell do I get the bulb out, my hands don't fit in the nest? Is there a secret method to this?

I’m not shure, I think it pops open of you squeeze it but my plastic was so brittle it just broke so.

Be careful. I broke the bulb and now it's ruined. I can't dig out the remaining glass.

should it just pop if I pull it down? or do I need to pinch something at the top. Its hard to see I might try taking out my glove box tomorrow.

While it can be done without removing, for me it was much easier and less obtrusive to remove box. Can check a few other things while it's out.

I watched a LED swap video and the guy was removing the old bulbs with a piece of tape. He would wrap as much as possible around the bulb and pull. Pretty neat trick.

I will try it before I remove glovebox. For a t5 74 bulb, Do I need a new socket? Or will a led just fit?

Pop the cover tab, use pliers. Don’t push too hard on the bulb or you’ll shatter it

I could only buy a back of ten bulbs, is 74 the size of the overhead lights also front and rear?

No. 74 bulb is the small bulbs in the dash and the foot bulb on the driver side though

    Overhead bulbs are festoon bulbs

Im not a big fan of bright lights in dash, I have it very low so I will leave those but the foot well one sounds good. What about the door lights?

Your door LED is circled in red. Your T-5 bag of LED lights will fit under as the footwell light as well. Your question was vague so hope this answers it.

I’d be leary of using LED bulbs in every light behind the instrument cluster as some of the warning lights act as a resistor from some readings I’ve done. An LED in those areas will impact negatively some things. Anybody with me or is this BS?

The only bulbs I replaced in instrument cluster with LED are circled in red.
