What are people doing for outdoor lights?

Most of my neighbors are going to those projectors. I am not impressed :(. I think bushes full of lights even though it is a day of fighting with cords and nets and setting timers is so much prettier. Wonder what others use. People are so busy anymore

Over the years it seems fads have come and gone. No more "icicles" from the gutters and people dont seem to hang lights on the house anymore. Lots of wire sculptures with lights on them.

It is a real headache to do but it sure is pretty when you are out walking in the dark....

So why not choosing some garden lights or garden decoration lights?
I purchased some garden lights recently.
They are so beautiful when in the dark.

    Alot of them
It just comes down to laziness. When they hang lights here, they are too lazy to take them down so they leave them up all year and then wonder why they don't work next year.

I also don't do outside lights. If I'm going to get the extension ladder out, I would clean my gutters

For Christmas festivity, Do not hang much lights anymore. Some lighted wreaths on front windows, and what I call runway lights - staked lights that border our landscaping. Keeps everything on ground level. We also have some wood cutouts accented with glitter that get spotlights from the ground level as well.

I refuse to ever go to those projectors. I do simple white lights on our small bushes. Lighted garland around the front door and our porch pillars and old school clear white C9’s above our garage and across front porch gutter.

I'm still putting lights on the house for Christmas, just like you I think they look great at night. I was a little rushed this year but here's the final product for 2019

We have the old school C9 glass lights wrapped around the two trees up front and along the front of house, last year with these, switching to C9 LED

The one projector I have seen that I do like projects many tiny lights up into tree branches. I would do that one in addition to the strung lights. I do have a projector in addition to light (it shows up as white blobs in my picture) but, meh. I think the ones that do that are called laser light projectors.
