    I hear you.
But I solved some of my issues by doing the following.
    1) Make sure your data roaming is turned on in general settings. Reset your network settings in the general. Rename your phone after that from iPhone to something else. Solved my hotspot issues. Also make sure your iPad and iPhone is updated.

    2) Yes when the dongle is plugged in it takes over the head unit. Cant switch to radio. So something to get used to.

    3) I am using the wired dongle and also AppCarPlay i downloaded for it. https://www.sendspace.com/file/12vlkc I found the link on their Amazon product page https://www.amazon.com/Carplay-Android-Navigation-CarPlay-Support/dp/B075B7T4W2

BTW I solved my sound issue by going to factory settings and setting sound down to -3 db. No more hissing. I switched to factory amp and did not like the sound compared to alpine power pack amp. So kept my alpine plugged in.

Now that I tuned all the settings in factory using password: 126. Everything is much better.

Hotspot issues solved but not entirely. I still have to reconnect to i phone since it does not auto connect for some reason until I force it to connect. Might be an iPhone thing. Some security settings. Will update when I find it. I grounded the unit to the proper bolt as well.

I replaced the microphone with another one from Amazon and that solved my microphone issues.
(Factory microphone had solder all over the connections. Bad)
Whats left is routing the microphone.

Will be Adding another HDMI 5-7 inch wide screen up top left corner as my "Heads Up display" so i don't look away from the road. Maybe even the center console. We shall see. More to come.

PROS: it is nice to have CarPlay. It does have glitches. But for now maps and spotify works. All I need.

ODB II BT gauges work as well. Although so far I have no time to stare at them. So might try logging.

Is anyone having trouble with volume on an iPhone 11 Pro? When I get a notification sound on the phone it comes through the speakers and turns down the audio temporarily. About 50 percent of the time it does not turn the volume back up and I have to use the volume buttons on the radio to get it to an acceptable volume again. Eventually it will come back up at some point and then it is too loud and I will have to use the buttons to turn it back down. The volume buttons on the iPhone do nothing to affect the volume.

This is not a huge problem and is really the only issue I have. I have the 10.2 Dasaita from Amazon with the built in bezel from my 2010 limited.

I'll test with my new iPhone XR tonight, but 99% of the time I drive around with my volume switch flipped off because of this normal operation of muting audio for a "ding". Does it on my bluetooth speaker in the garage, annoying design Apple.

I just installed the unit 10.2 Dasaita 9.0. Anyone else have problems not being able to see controls for interior dome light timer.

Also noticed that my truck doesn’t beep anymore or flash lights when unlocking/locking. Any ideas on how to fix this

Setting up external touch screen via HDMI and usb next. Using Dasaita and a small 7 inch above dash. Helps keep eyes on road.

So it's been over month now and i finally got my Dasaita that is "specifically made for my 2010 Tundra" and is "Plug and Play". I can tell you that absolutely nothing is plug and play about this at all except for One damn connector that has three wires connected to it. I have factory JBL navigation so there are a ton of connectors left over.

Look back at posts from September (I think) if you are having issues. I posted some of the issues I had getting everything working with my 2010.

Anyone find a way to use a launcher (car launcher pro, FCC launcher, Car launcher AG, etc.) with A2DP audio? The audio widgets don't pull A2DP information. So if you play music over Bluetooth (I'm talking outside of Carplay use), then you can't control or see the bluetooth audio information from the home launcher screen. The A2DP button just goes into the A2DP app, which isn't really preferred. Any one find a way around this?

I too just installed a Dasaita fully integrated unit into my 2010 Crewmax limited with JBL. I spent several hours this weekend installing and I've done many electronics installs. Nothing was plug and play.

To help others out with the 07-13 install, here are some issues I ran into and overcame.

    1) The Canbus adapter did not have a lead trigger for the backup camera. I had to tap into the passenger side kick plate (blue wire on bottom most white connector) and use that as a trigger to the orange backup camera trigger wire in the Dasaita harness.
    2) I have an adapter on order to retain the factory USB. You do need to remove the glove box and disconnect the USB cable running from the dash plug to the "electronics box" and install the adapter connector at this box behind the glove box.
    3) There are no screws that hold the dasaita non-swivel factory look radio to the dash. Everything just clips in using the factory yellow clips.
    4) Mapping the steering controls is a bit of a pain. I had to switch the factory settings using code 126 from Canbus to SWC and back and forth a few times. Then I was able to use the SWC app and map my buttons on my steering wheel.

    Open issues still:

    1) Anyone have a decoder for the SWC icons.....aka. what the button means and what it controls? I got volume, mode and forward and back buttons to map properly. I can not for the life of me figure out how to map the Answer a Call and Hang up functions. I just don't know what icons are the right ones to control those functions. Any idea?
    2) What are the best Car Launcher apps people are running on the Tundra?
    3) I need to get a Bluetooth OBD2 plug so I can add an App to see all the truck performance data.

New issue started. In the morning when cold Center LCD backlight in the screen does not turn on until screen warms up. Like 5 minutes later. I have picture I will post later. Really weird. Ugh.
Started looking at phoenix tesla with AC control.

That's concerning. I am local as well. Coldest I've seen in my part of town is high 30's. Are you certain it's the temperature and not some other issue? I'm re reading this whole thread before I make the purchase. Anyone know If an updated version will be released anytime soon?

Dasaita sent me a link to latest software but I am having a hard time installing it on my head unit. Again problem goes away after 5 min. Might have nothing to do with temps. Most likely it is software or just a bad screen. Over all I am starting to warm up to the android stereo. Just too much dinking around vs regular radio with buttons. I my self will most likely switch to phoenix radio with volume and AC buttons. But researching it for now. Again this stereo is good. Worth the price. I have my tuned the way I like it.

Have anyone experience any lag or any issue with heat?
Say, summer high temp outside. Sometime it would cause lag or decrease performance of the unit.

    Anything of that sort?

I am still on the fence. Just dont know how reliable it is longterm compare to mainstream brand.
