Removed the green. Now they just look sickly and don't match the rest of my trucks lights. Will have to buy some green LEDs or better bulbs and put the condoms on em

Costco had 6 quart boxes of Mobile 1 for $21.95 so I picked up a couple and grabbed some oil for the rear diff and knocked those out this afternoon.

On a side note, mine has all its records from Toyota, including the last oil change around 4K miles ago and they forgot to put a crush washer on the drain plug - awesome. It had a slight drip at the plug so glad I went ahead and took care of that.

Going to repaint the skid plate and fluid film tomorrow.

Nice. Your instrument panel is different than the 2002 now that you mentioned this it makes sense now.

They are X-Bull, which I bought on Amazon, and at least when I was shopping they would periodically drop as low as around $60 for some colors.

Have I used them? Sorta. So far I've only used them to level the truck so I have a nice flat bed to sleep in. I have not used them to get out of a predicament, as I have not yet gotten myself into a predicament. Guess I need to try harder.

Do I like them? Meh. They are much bulkier than the expensive brands, and I'm sure they are not as good.

I did find a video online once, where some guy in Australia, I think, compared them and the fancy ones, and these held their own, surprisingly. He did a variety of tests - getting out of sand, using as a ramp, and even as a bridge, and these were ok.

As far as I can tell from my research (again, not personal experience) they aren't as good, but they might be good enough to be worth the price difference.

If they break after a couple of uses you can replace them 4-5 times for the price of some of the others, but then maybe the others wouldn't break and leave you stranded somewhere.

Perfect! That's pretty much what I'd seen about the xbull boards. I think that's what I'll get because as you stated I can replace them many times over.

Since everyone is grooving on the light bulbs here is the ignition ring with the same white Partsham bulbs used in the other areas discussed today. Blues were used on the instrument cluster. White Zevo Sylvanias used on the dome, map, and door lights. She lights up good now.

Led interior bulbs are my next thing for sure... granted having map lights and a dome light in the reg cab is already overkill

That was a great post dude! I enjoyed all the organization and the labeling. I do the same thing with my grocery bags too. I think they work better cuz they have handles to hang them and they are pretty thick/strong plastic. And perfect size too

You should try the jumper mod at the map light. Removing those metal lens covers helps to really light it up.

I know you posted it before but what did you use for the ignition ring? Not sure why I want one but I want mine red.

Thanks. Leaving it completely stock. I was in a Tacoma DCSB but needed a little extra room, so started my hunt for a 2005-06 Tundra AC. Don't need or want a full-size double / crew cab. The 7/8ths size is just right. These AC's are hard to find in good condition for sale. I may upgrade the 16" wheels to 17", but otherwise it is staying stock.

I am not. He stole the name from me... :) . Seriously, I have been called this for the last 35 years...

It is indeed the Bluesteel Mica. I love the color. I was searching for white / silver / gray, and I am surprised how much I like this color. Very unique.

Yes, last year at 99k miles. The service records are very good.

    Thanks for the welcome guys!

I think Partsam sells them in red. Got these on Big Gurrrll in White and Blue.

FWIW, the P.O. of my RV redid all the interior bulbs with LEDs. It took some hunting, but he found them in a color pallet that was very close to the old incandescent 12v bulbs instead of the harsh white of most LEDs. I've not had reason to dig in & find specifics, but something gentler is out there - FYI

Cables looked good, seals were good, diff oil was actually somewhat clean. When I changed the diff oil in my ‘03 AC it smelled burnt and was dark. This one was slightly dark and the magnet had a little grime on it, previous owner had the fluid changed at 50K and 100K.

Haven’t done the breather mod, this thing will never be in water so, correct me if I’m wrong, I didn’t think it’d be worth it?

The breather mod is mostly done to keep the axle seals from going south if the factory breather gets clogged. I used a fuel filter on mine when I rerouted it to the tail light area.

Look for a something in the 3000k range, the cool white is closer to 5000k the lower you get on the spectrum the more yellow it gets.

At the minimum, just install a new one. The road grime and salts can take a toll on these like they did mine which lead to clogging which lead to my axle seals blowing ($$$). I think the part is around $10-15.

Good chart. Most people don’t realize about the Kelvin Scale and how it affects what you see. My Sylvania Zevos are in the 5-6k scale by looks (not sure of the exact spec). I like it lit up, when I want light, and these do the job very well. A more modern look.

I hear you. In your situation on the RV, I’d want softer light around 3k as you probably have these lights on all the time for living inside. Like Fester suggests, 3-4k is ideal and what I have in my home relaxation areas. For the truck, 5-6k daytime bulbs for quicky need to see it all light are the go to. Just depends on what the space requires and personal choice, as well.
