It is a lot easier to handle in parking lots too. I do miss the BSM but not that big a deal. My Tundra was the best truck I’ve ever owned but life changes and the 4Runner suits my needs better now. I hope it’s as dependable as the Tundra. Time will tell.

It will be the most dependable and reliable vehicle you have ever owned. I had a 2014 that was blacked out all over....got so many compliments on it and suited our family needs. 2 days after I paid it off a guy blew a red light going 50+ mph and t-boned me. The 4Runner saved my life honestly and the value held incredibly well (insurance payout on it was over 80% of my purchase price 5 years and 101k miles later). The only things I ever had to do to it were general maintenance, brakes and tires. I did add a sprint booster as I felt the engine was a little sluggish at times and it definitely helped with throttle response. I really wish I still had that truck and no payments.......but the insurance check allowed me to get into the tundra (what I always wanted and never could have afforded otherwise).

You're killing me.LOL. I so bad want (read, not need) one. When I bought my Tundra, I test drove an off road premium. I was ready to pull the trigger until I drove the Tundra and my wife encouraged me to buy the truck - in case we decide to purchase a travel trailer, which at the time was a thought we had. Anyways, wish I would have bought the 4R, love em!

Well, what is the competition for the 4Runner, nowadays?

What SUV made today is truly off-road capable? [I'm talking simply negotiating job sites, really rutted roads, going through pastures, stuff my wife and I have to do for our jobs.]

    The Suburban or Tahoe?

Everything is a crossover these days [we hate that].

There's no real Bronco or Trailblazer anymore [80's and 90's].

My point is that the 4Runner is an extremely capable, highly functional [rear storage], reliable SUV for a moderate amount of money.

    I'm pretty sure this this is a kick-ass vehicle.:curls:

They don’t have incredible power, but it’s enough. It’s definatly dosent have the giddy up that my Tundra has, but it’s easy to drive and has incredible resale value. You can drive it for a couple years , then go get another new one and not get killed on trade in or resale.

BTW , my dad agrees, those Falken tires are overrated. He put one size up on his Sierra and it killed his gas mileage and are tough to balance, but they have a cult following.
