I don't do any of of the things you mentioned. I did move a couch today though. It was one foot too long. I carried it with tailgate down. I would not mind a 6.5 ft bed. I don't plan to drive through a battle zone, but I would not mind having high grade stainless body. It's overkill, but I wouldn't mind not worrying about door dings. My Tundra have numerous battle scares from parking lots. And 15 miles of driving on solar panel per day would be helpful. I drive less than 15 miles per day.

I think that was supposed to be for the space x program. Elon must have gotten his events or vehicles mixed up.

    Its the only logical explanation.

If you’re just using it to commute, make Home Depot runs, and move the occasional couch, then I think this would be a great option. To be honest, I drive a Toyota Yaris back and forth to work because the gas mileage difference is outrageous and I really have no place to park a truck at work. So my truck isn’t my commuter car. But if you need a commuter truck, then yeah I can see where an EV would be good. But for me this would be just as out of place at work as it would be upta camp. I guess it comes down to needs.

People are rendering these already. I would like to see how they actually get modded once people get hold of them.

It’s kind of grown on me. Only issue for me is how bad the rear sagged when the ATV was in the back. Hopefully the real model as a better payload capacity.

Other than style, cost of ownership, and useability...sure. Those "unbreakable" windows look sweet though.

I think that is because the rear airbags aired down for the loading and hadn’t been refilled yet.

3500 payload on that thing. The air ride suspension goes up and down for loading or efficiency while driving

Find it funny that out of all the specs of the cyber truck that smashes every other truck and almost every vehicle in general on the market you chose “unbreakable windows” as your go to sarcastic criticism.

Tesla wins in suspension, speed, torque, towing, clearance, stock tire size, price, cost of ownership until something breaks off warranty, body strength, infotainment, useable accessories, and those almost unbreakable windows.

Tesla loses in side of bed accessibility and in fugliness.
Shame it’s so god damn ugly.

Throw my tundra body design on that bad boy and I’d be all over it especially at those price ranges.

Soory Bud, didnt know you had stock. I'd agree with you that in Spec this truck is awesome (minus aesthetics and minor personal issues with useability). However, what I was eluding to with my sarcastic observation is Elon Musk and the Tesla Corporation's pretense to promise the world and fall short, on multiple occasions. I hope it turns out as awesome as he says it will in production.

One thing to note is it is most likely going to be in the 8500-10000 lb GVWR class, which then means it is a 3/4 ton essentially. So with that in mind it does not win in torque, towing, stock tire size for sure and maybe clearance. The class it's in won't affect sales, but it will mean it won't be EPA rated so Elon will be free to claim whatever he wants for range.

I doubt this vehicle will make it to market at it's current specs. Anyone understand what happens to electric vehicles on the highway at higher speeds, with heavy loads and without without gears. Not practical in a heavy duty truck at all. And make no mistake, this is a heavy duty truck, not in anyway other than length and wheelbase comparable to the F150 that it towed. if it does make it to market, it will be a novelty on the order of an H1 hummer. Who needs a heavy duty truck that will go for about 30 -40 minute at 70 mph when loaded. It needs drastic changes if it will survive.

I would have to go with the Rivian, would have to get used to no Pro grill.

Tesla, from what I understand, is pretty much spot on with what they deliver. We will see. Yea, electric motors are just not fit for heavy duty truck.

Funny how on this forum we just roasted a vendor for using money from a group buy to most likely cover debts/other projects. And here is Tesla doing basically the exact same thing. He got 30 millions dollars to use on whatever venture or invest how he likes.

This puzzles me. $100 deposit for Cybertruck is really small. The deposit required for Tesla model 3 was $1000. Rivian requires $1000 deposit for their truck. The deposit required for Roadster is $50,000. They could've asked a lot more than $100 for Cybertruck. I am not sure what you are accusing the company of.
