Anyone local to the L.A. area heading to SD? I'd like to utilize the Tundra Express for my stock skids

Opposite. I’m near SD but headed to Orange next Thurs-Sat. If I can do a portion of the transport (probably have to pick up from another Tundra bud, as I may not be available during shop business hours), I’m happy to.

I missed it, what are you trying to move? Buying or getting rid of?

Smaller is better in this case..
I got a 5lbs tank for wheeling. Small and light but with enough propane for a few days.

Did you mean for general backyard use? It would be cool not to have to fill often but the benefit of a 20# is that most stores swap empties for full. I guess this’d be good for someone that refills.
I can’t decide if I shoulda got a 5#. Where/ how do you refill it? Not wanting any hassle is why I never did a CO2 tank for tires, and why I carry those 1# propane tanks for everything, even the shower.

Most gas stations have propane refill stations.. Not hard to find.
When you "Swap" the tank they really arent filled up all the way and it cost more to swap than to just have the empties refilled.
I myself have a lot of 20lbs tanks and 2x 30 lbs tanks for home use.

the 30lbs come in handy for sure when using the patio heaters ect.

So what do you need, someone to carry a set of skids south? If you can get them near to Orange/ Anaheim by next Thursday, I can bring them south.

So I was looking at old posts in the thread and came across the tundras to
Big bear posts. I wanted to see if anyone has plans (or wants to make plans) on going back up the mountain soon before the rain melts the snow away? Ohh and I’m also installing kings and Baja kits UCA’s within a week and I wanna use them

We’ve made multiple Bg Bear trips together. All a great time. None during snow. If you look a ways up this page, or last page, there’s a guy that went, and another that wants to go. It only takes one of you setting a date to make it happen, as well as to get others to chime in! We’re all trail leaders here; the guy/gal that sets the date pretty much acts as social host to get things going. Be that guy!

Ok cool definitely. I’ll see about setting a date when I get my kit on. Hopefully within the next week.

@DMB4x4 and @AstroDude looks like you’re both looking for a buddy to play in the snow. It may be that if you pick a date and post up here or with a new thread, that others may join in. I’m intrigued but leaving through the holidays....

Was up there today. Still lots of snow up there. We did Pioneertown to BB thru 2N02. Majority of the snow was up at higher elevation. Take Rim Of The World off North Shore to get to the good stuff. The 3N02 road was where the kids played. About 1’+ in some areas and undisturbed.
Road going out was packed tho. Took about an hour to get to the 210
