Hi i am new to this page, i have a 2011 Toyota Tundra RW. About a year ago I had to use 4x4 to get out of a muddy yard and since then the drivers side front end has felt funny. It has been slowly getting worse, I have checked the wheel bearing for play and everything is tight. At about 20 to 30 mph when I first drive it in the morning I get a womp womp womp sound along with a vibration feeling in the steering wheel that goes along with the womp womp sound, it defininetly seems to be changed by the speed of the vehicle. After driving for a bit it still has the same sound but not as bad. About a week ago I was stopped at a traffic light with a turn to the left and when the light turned green and i started to go there was a big pop from the front end that I could feel as well as feel in the steering wheel. Any help I can get is much appreciated, my wife and i are about to make a trip up north in less than a month and want to make sure the truck isnt going to break down on us. Thank you

Did you check the ball joints when you checked the wheel bearing? I was having some similar issues (though not as loud), my upper ball joints were shot. I changed the arms last weekend and it's improved a lot though I need to look at the rest of the front end.

Cv axle or ball joint , being that you heard loud pop when turning that would be my guess

Thank you guys for the responses! Is there anyway to check the axles? I checked the seals and they looked good, but is there any other check to do on them?

Jack up the car and yank on the axle. There shouldn’t be any play.

One side at a time or would both sides at once be better?

Just an update, so i took the truck to toyota and they said I had a bad wheel bearing so i had them replace them both and nothing has really changed. They said the balljoints were fine and the cv axles were good. Any possiblilty it could be the front diff?
