I have a 2017 SR5 Tundra Crewmax and there is something wrong with my fan switch. The heat/air will work for awhile until I turn the truck off. When I crank it back up there is no airflow(heat or ac) of any kind through the vents. After driving for 5-10 minutes I can start getting airflow through the vents. Sometimes it doesn’t blow with much force. I will have it on max and it’s like it’s on medium when it is working properly. After a few minutes of this is decides to start blowing at full force like it is supposed to. It started happening right after my full warranty ran out so I do not want to take it to the dealer. Has anyone has this happen to them before and how was it fixed? I am not sure if it’s a control module or where to start? I have checked all the fuses to make sure they are good and they all were fine. Thanks for the help

Welcome! Sorry to hear about this issue. It seems like an odd problem with a relatively newer truck.

It seems more times than not these types of problems pertain to a blower motor issue, but somewhat premature with a 2017.

My 07 blower motor failed completely, quit working. To trouble shoot it, I checked the voltage at the harness of blower, measured 0-12 vdc variable with the switch in all positions. Blower motor / fan assembly fairly easy change out, think three screws and harness. $130-180 depending on where yo purchase.

If Voltage is not present I would think there is something wrong with the Speed switch or power to the switch.

    Good Luck!

I'm on my 4th Tundra since 2001 and am just now starting to have issues. My most recent is very similar to the above issue. I've purchased a replacement blower and plugged it in but nothing changed. Any recommendations for next steps or links to videos/tutorials?
