Cluster is back.


Ordered the AUTO HVAC control panel today, while I had the cluster out to reinstall the new one I went to install the light sensor I bought and it was already there and wired in! woot!

 

Here's the lights in the dark (lights out in work parking lot this morning)

 

Good news/bad news time.
Auto AC console came, still waiting for the computer.


Shock broke, I guess on the way to work because no noise going/banging the second I pulled out of my parking space. created a claim with AJ USA, they were great so far.

 

Just put this in, Tundra is in the garage since the Wife is away. It fits!

 

Installed auto headlights, it was pretty easy. It works!



I used a sharpie and made a line to get the steering wheel on center & still missed.

It'll have to come off to move it over to center.

 

It's like the threads sheared off.
Broken one goes back to Bilstein in the morning.

 

Installed JL c2-350x 3.5" in the corner dash. Running through the JBL amp for now (just these and the center on the factory amp) for now, the rest are running through a 75 wpc Kenwood (sub has it's own 2k watt Pioneer)

These will be getting an amp soon.

Auto HVAC in!

 

Got new tweeters last week new amp came yesterday. Hope to wire in the dash speakers to the old Kenwood and the mains to this and swap the tweeters this weekend.

 

Bilstein is good will refunding the defective shock because it sheared off and the top is in the road somewhere their "investigation" was inconclusive.

Also, they are refunding the 160 I spent for the replacement, not the 165 per I paid for the pair which included this one but I'm not going to argue about the 5 bucks.

I'm "lucky" to get anything, googling Bilstein & the manager that I dealt with brings up nothing but installation error no replacement for you ONE YEAR!

Email from Bilstein:

I received the evaluation summary from my Quality Department. Since they did not have the upper portion of the stem, they were unable to perform a complete test to confirm the break was caused by a manufactures defect. The findings were deemed inconclusive and therefore the claim was denied. However, as a gesture of “Goodwill” I will issue credit back to AJ USA for the replacement purchase. AJ USA will then issue credit back to your credit card. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you.

Obviously the rod sheared off or they would have said no it bent so was not installed correctly.

 

Installed the Hertz tweeters, they sound great.

Waiting to get Hertz woofers & crossovers for all 4 doors & then I'll wire the Kenwood to the 3 dash speakers to complete the install.

 

These came today.

I also ordered a set of 4 Hertz 170 Woofers & tweeters from Tech12v (with adapters & harnesses) in the group buy.

I'm going to use these woofers in the front door, the tweeters from this and 170 woofers in the rear door and the rest will go in the Wife's Prius.

 

i need to get a hold of james. i am thinking about getting the kenwoods for the dash as i have the uno k165's in both sets of doors.

 

Cluster looks great where did you have the mileage programmed?
