Hello fellow 4.6 tundra and all tundra owners. :)

I have recently installed Long Tubes for my 13 Tundra 4.6 Long Tubes that I purchased from DirtyDeeds. I know this isn't a common install for the 4.6 guys so for anyone that is interested in installing these, here are some tips and lessons that I learned. I have a 2x4 so I don't know how its like to install on a 4x4.

    Total install time: ~16 hours.

For the most part follow DirtyDeed's instructions for the 5.7 up to removing the stock headers.

    Both Sides,
remove the heat shields for more clearance.

    Drivers side,

stick a jack under the engine to remove the engine mount. I took off the bracket and the mount itself. it slips on way easier. when installing the mount and bracket back on, it will be a tight fit for but it is do able. There wont be a lot of space to tighten up the nut that secures the mount to the engine. it takes a while to slowly screw it on with the open side of wrench. just take your time.

    Passengers side.

when you remove the stock headers the stud pattern isn't the same as the 5.7 so youll have move the two middle studs ( one on top and one on the bottom) one hole over. youll see what i mean if put the gasket on.

remove the dip stick tube when sliding the tubes on. Before you install the long tubes, install the dip stick back in above the motor mount. i made the mistake of installing this last. i had to straighten it and bend it back to install it.

again with the jack under the motor, remove the nut for clearance. i had to wiggle the long tubes into place. i didn't have to use a hammer at all. it is a very tight fit at first but keep wiggle it in. the secondary air tubes will get stuck so use some force to the stud in the hole.

unbolt the transmission line, the rubber hoes will be touching the long tubes. get a insulation sleeve is it doesn't cook the rubber line.

again the engine mount nut will be hard to install, so take your time.

the o2 sensors are the same. as before. Just measure before you tighten them down.

get the gaskets from auto zone, i just went to some muffler shop around the corner to get some.

why did i install these. my truck is paid off and i don't want another car payment for a 5.7.
Yes the truck now pulls harder. its a noticeable difference.
I used a lot of different type of 12mm wrenches and sockets. long, short, deep. be patient. Its doable.

Im still missing around with the v bands, i have a slight exhaust leak by the cats.

This is just my 2 cent. ill post some pictures when i get a chance.

YES! I know these are some shitty pictures, feel free to laugh. if yall want a specific angle please let me know.

the second to last image was the transmission line that I was taking about. as you can see here, I just got some heat wrap and zip tied it on there.

What kind of gains did you get from these long tubes? Was this long tubes with mids and your cats installed?
