    Hi there!

Any Long Island members? What dealers have you found are good or bad for sales and service?

    Like to hear from you!

No first hand experience but I heard that Toyota in Middle Island does good work.

As for sales I wouldn't buy from any of them. I bought 3 new Toyotas in the last 2 years and they were all bought out of state. They just aren't willing to negotiate far enough here on the Island.

Mid-Long Island here! Welcome! Have had great experience at Sunrise Toyota in Oakdale. Bruce R is goto guy in sales and Steve G in service. They have both addressed concerns and gone above and beyond to help me out...
(keep in mind... dealers are there for your money (imho)...but thes guys are ok)

I thought it was me. In the past I found that to be true bout Long Island dealers. I had to go to Brooklyn, and to buy a Honda.

Having said that, they seem to be getting a bit better. Send me a PM with the dealers you found good as I want to buy a new Tundra.

    Thanks!!!

I may try Sunrise Toyota North. The old "Competition Toyota" was useless. Both Sunrise Toyota's have excellent Google reviews, especially recent reviews.

Prime Toyota of Boston and Grieco Toyota in Rhode Island. Well worth the drive for the deals I got.

They have to give me pricing by phone first before I drive 5 hours to a dealer only to find they can't beat the price.

If you think I can call, give them my options and have them shoot me a price, let me know. I have done this before when I purchased a Honda Civic from a dealer in Brooklyn.

Of course. I had my deal complete before I even left my house. Just walked in the door signed papers and drove away with my new truck.
I did mostly all of it through email. I will say I didn't order a truck. I bought trucks they had on the lot. Otherwise not sure how much they will negotiate.

Go on their website, find something you want and hit the option that says send me a quote. Thats how to get the ball rolling.

I called and left a message. Never got a return call. I stopped at Sunrise North. Gave them paperwork and asked for an "out the door" price. They never got back to me either.

I spoke to the sales team at Grieco Toyota. Like above, I emailed the my paperwork and asked for an "out the door" price. They called back and basically said they did not want to quote on it.

I heard Pennsylvania has some dealers that will work with you. I will give them a call.

You cant find anything you want n stock anywhere? Having them order it makes it hard to get a deal. When a truck is on the lot they want to move it and will make a deal to make it happen. When you ask them to order a truck you are kinda at their mercy. What incentive do they have to do the extra work when they know they will barely make any money on you.
