I've been looking into it and can't tell if I should or not. I've seen one or two trucks that have been wrapped here in town but none of them have been Tundras. Anyone have any experience or seen one done? If so, does it look good and how's the wear and tear on it?

Someone on here (I believe, possibly another forum, not sure) wrapped their truck in a flat dark grey, it looked great.

Saw a new one recently. Looked like a carnival on wheels, but maybe that was their intent.

Just saw one for sale on the FB tundra talk page. I think it would look sick with a matte grey or black wrap.

That looks badass as hell. I was looking into like a gunmetal or possibly an OD green or coyote tan

I wrapped the glassworks fenders on mine. Came out really good and i've abused the hell out of those fenders in the sticks.

It's a different color but instead of stripping away the paint and taking forever, they lay vinyl pieces over each panel and section and heat shrink it to the vehicle. When you're tired of it, peel it off. It protects against rocks and things better without damaging the paint. And it's cheaper

That looks damn good. If I had the cojones to take it on myself then I would but I feel like it'd turn out garbage if I tried.

How's it hold up to everyday things like rocks that may be on the road?

It holds up just fine, better than I expected. The truck is blue underneath.

If you don't mind, how much was the cost? Did they remove the bed or get in between the rear cab and bed? I have plans to wrap my truck and haven't decided if I should use a colored wrap or the 3m clear. I've heard that the the 3m isn't as durable as the vinyl wraps.

I bought the truck with the wrap on it so I am not sure of the actual cost. I spoke with a man in town that runs a sign shop to see if it would ruin the pain when I decide to pull it off. He looked at the material and said it was a good quality wrap so the paint would look just like it did when it was wrapped. He also told me that it was in the ball park of a $4500 wrap job to be professionally completed mainly because the black matte color was very expensive. It looks like they pulled the bed off because I cannot see any of the blue when looking between the bed and the cab. I am by no means an expert on this stuff, but I hope this information helps. When you open the doors you can tell what color the truck is though because the entire exterior is wrapped. The door jams are still blue.

That information definitely did help. I've been quoted $3,500 for a wrap but I think I'll opt for the clear instead. I'm not comfortable dropping $3.5k for a vinyl wrap when a complete color change on a mid size car is cheaper in cost.
