Power tailgate lock

This is the KTJO power tailgate lock for 3rd gen Tundras. This is brand new, never installed. This is plug and play. I ended up going a different route is the only reason I’m selling. I’m asking $95 shipped which is what I paid. Plenty of happy customers on this forum with this lock.

 

$80 and count me in. Gotta feel like Im getting a deal buying an open box item from a source other than the original shipper.

Any of you guys splice off the tailgate lock to lock your pickup cover? Just curious if it would work?

 

It will work on newer caps with a cable releases mechanism but not the older caps with 2 t-handles on each side of back glass. Bottom line, you need a cable locking mechanism to do what you describe. I’ve searched high and low for power locks for my 2012 ARE cap and no luck....
