    Hi guys

I am new on here and I have found a boat load of info for the 4.7 & 5.7 Tundra Water pump. But I can not find anything on the 4.6. My truck has 215k on it and I got it at 200k. I noticed at about 205k I had a bit of moisture in my oil. Panic set in as I drive this truck about 4-5k a MONTH. It was very rainy that week and after about another 1200 miles on the fresh oil it was fine no milky pudding in the oil cap. Well its back now in full force 8-10k since it was cleared up. So it came and went and came back. I also screwed up and put blue devil head gasket fix in the coolant and it turned my coolant to jelly so the coolant in the pic is only about 2000 miles old. I have had heater core issues since the blue devil. But I honestly don't think the head gasket is going b/c it does not overheat or even smoke. I have drove it 10k since then. I have JUST paid the 3rd payment on this thing. T he cost of a head gasket job I can get a JDM engine w 40k for that. I have not done a compression test yet.

    THE QUESTION!!!!

Can a leaking water pump get in to my oil???

The front of this engine has oil running in it with the timing chains & the water pump bolts to the front. Im pretty sure the 5.7 is the same way. I know the 2uz is a belt.
This is why I am asking b/c I cant seem to find a straight answer on this.20191207_135357.jpg20191207_135422.jpg 20191207_135457.jpg 20191207_135522.jpg 20191207_135550.jpg

Pretty sure these two issues are unrelated. Seems clear your water pump seal is leaking heavily. Appears to be past tattle-tale weeping. Better replace the waterpump pronto. Toyota engines do not handle overheating as well as a cast iron SBC. There have been some disasters discussed here.

There have been other threads here on the slime accumulation in the oil filler cap. Consensus was it's caused by not getting the engine hot enough, long enough to boil off the water vapor that accumulates in the crankcase during the colder months.

My dads Tundra had the slime accumulation because his short work commute. It also happened more frequently in the winter months. When his community changed the accumulation was gone.

Nope. But that water pump is kaput. Replace the filler cap seal.

Don’t use mechanic in a can first, if it was my truck I would change pump pronto with Asian pump and flush few time get all the old coolant out.
Milky crap in the oil fill is from moisture likesaid above this is not a sign of head gasket going out. If you want to do easy test on head gasket open the overflow, enough to see down into it while the hose is still in fluid run the engine to 2000 rpm and look for bubbles, if ya see some go get a head gasket test kit then test your fluid
