How did these turn out? Easy install? Any problems with it since you put them in?

Cool I just ordered one to hook up my fog lights. They should fit the 2016 model correct? All the reviews on Amazon were for the 2011 year but I'm assuming the switch size didnt change after 2014?

FYI: cruiserheads.com offers a custom etching service. They will create a switch for you using the image, label and led color of your choice. I had them make me a "Kneel" switch for my airbags and it came out great. They charged about $30. Just ordered another one from them to drop the tailgate.

Great thread. Also saw that SDHQ sells switches for us too. Seeing this thread changed my mind from a custom switch cluster face for the ash tray to the stock locations.

Are you guys taking apart the dash to install the switches? Or just cutting out th blanks and reaching under the dash to run the wires?

To get the blanks out, it is pretty easy to pop out the dash panel piece and squeeze the tabs on the blank from behind. I guess to answer your question, I removed the dash panel pieces. The one under the steering wheel has two bolts and several push tabs that release after removing the bolts. All of the pieces in the console area just pull out.

Some of them have tabs on the sides, some have the tabs on the top and bottom. If you take a small thin flat head screw driver, you could pop them out. It's so easy to remove the dash panel/ trim part to gain access to the back and jsut pop them out that doing it that way is really THE way to go about it.

In post #42 above, see the empty hole to the left of the USB/ AUX switch? That was a switch blank before I removed the blank. THe Toyota style switches just pop in from the front and use tabs to lock into place. From the rear, releasing the tabs will let the switch jsut push out to the front. Same for the switch blanks.

Same picture in #42, the three switch pod- I did have to cut out a hole for the pod to mount into, there was no switch blank there.

Post #36 above, the blank to the right of the LED switch- I believe that is a Toyota OEM blank too. Pulling the dash panel off should let you jsut release the tabs and pop out the blank.

Honestly, take 10 minutes and a 10mm socket and remove the panel below the steering wheel and it should become self explanatory.

I have a generic light bar harness that car with a switch I gotta figure out how to wire in a new switch that will fit the blanks.

This is the switch I have it has three wires going to it.

So, how are these holding up after a few years? I need to wire in my front cam and possibly LED DRLs...looks like the pricing is about the same between that site and Amazon currently.

    Also, search function FTW :D

Mine too. I had them on the last three Tundras. Once I got he wiring figured out, never had a single issue with any of the 15 or so I've purchased.

Has anyone found a switch that is a good match to the oem switches led color on a 2nd Gen? Just looking online the closest I have seen would maybe be a red switch from CH4x4. I'd prefer to have them match as close to the oem switches as possible for a clean look.

    Wheels and tires. For now...
I just recently stumbled across these guys and just ordered the hood mount ditch light brackets for mine. They carry limited stuff for tundras but more for the 3rd gens. I’m gonna order this switch here in a few and once I get more accessories ect, I’ll probably order the switches through these guys. I’m trying to find light and mounting options that aren’t going to break the bank.

I know this is an old thread but was curious, could I run two sets of light pods from one switch? I just put an nfab bumper on my truck and I have a light bar and two pairs of light pods to go on either side of the light bar. Ideally I'd like to put in the switches, but don't have three blanks next to each other. I've clicked on other links for Amazon switches but it just takes me to Amazon search, not a specific switch, I hope this one isn't the same. I know it's "tall" but if it'll work, I'll make it fit.

Yes you can run multiple lights off one switch, just be sure to wire the lights to a relay and then the relay to the switch.
