This is almost exactly the set up I'm going with to stuff 35s. Except I'm doing boss fronts with the 700lb red coilovers and boss reservoir rears. My question is did you have to do a carrier bearing drop or front diff drop? What lift do you have up front and what did you end up with in the rear?

My wrapped door handle didn't handle cold weather well so I decided to spray paint them. Only did the driver side so far 20191206_152918.jpg 20191206_152246.jpg

Did you overpay? I saw their pricing and went the ebay route. Same fortin unit with less wires to tap.

Yes it did. Its a really simple thing to add. Worst part was arranging the wires and zip tie them in place.

When I pulled my "blank" switch covers, the wiring plug is completely different then the one on the back of the USB plug. I'm not sure what to do...

That looks really good. Just spray paint or did you also wet sand and clear coat?

No wet sanding. I used some rubbing alcohol on the chrome, applied two coats of the adhesion promoter, 4 coats of the Toyota black, then 3 coats clear coat. All duplicolor products. I may wetsand 2000 grit next week to make it look a bit better or just leave it of I'm feeling lazy.

No drop kits of any kind. I've learned to avoid drop kits if possible. 2 - 7/8" front and 1 - 1/8" rear.

When I looked at the geometry (my rough calculations are somewhere) the delta in angle from front and rear lift applied to the CVs and driveshaft respectively were trivial. If you're worried, measure angle before and after, then find the tolerance of angles on the CV and u joints... You'll find the difference is negligible. If I find measurements laying around, I'll post... Might be on whiteboard.

Since I'm an engineer by trade, physicist by education, I prefer calculations using experimental data over recommendations by other forum users or vendors. I need to know what I'm doing is necessary for application.

    This morning. :)

Awesome info! Thanks one more question did you notice any loss in power with the lift and 35s and what is your average mpgs with what kind of driving? I have a 2013 rock warrior and yours has the exact stance and setup that I want. Thanks again for sharing.

I didn't install my new color matched door handles because Sparks didn't think I would need both sides.

The usb wire on the back of the new port goes into the usb on your aftermarket stereo head unit and the black and red wires need to be tapped in to the 12v socket underneath the AC controller. Use a testlight to tell you which wire is 12V (that's where you attach the red wire) and the other one is ground (black wire). Use scotchlok connectors to attach the wires and you should be GTG.

Did you go with coil set up at 2 inch or 3 inch coil lift? By the pictures I would guess 3.

Got my 1794 20s and Falken Wildpeaks AT3W installed. Unfortunately 1 tpms sensor wouldn't come out of the old wheels. Nothing some black tape on the dash couldn't fix.

    Yes
Yes, but to be honest with ~33s before, the truck felt super jumpy, especially off-road. Hitting bumps in the road would cause my foot to bounce and hit the throttle, jerking forward. Now there's not that instant torque applied to the ground, feels less twitchy. It still gets it though. It will spin without effort on concrete. I drive like an asshole, so I don't know MPGs before or after. Seems like I'm topping off about the same, but I also never let it go below 1/2 tank. Sorry that I don't have better insight there. Calculating the MPGs would just make me sad, so I avoid it.

With the coilovers I chose, they are preset at 3 inches. Unlike the Billstein coils, there isn't a setting to choose. I went with convenience of not messing around with spring compressors over the ability to have adjustability in ride height. But after some off-roading this weekend, the springs have settled into a total front end lift from hub center to fender of +2-7/8".

Document the installation and create a separate thread. I'm sure there's a lot of interest.

I'm going to create a thread asking about the headlight switch (there are several threads for the AC) I have found one for the switch that uses a parts seller's write up that is a dead link, if no one helps with a thread that exists I'll change t to a DIY.

Replaced 3 door lock actuators and a left rear wheel bearing. The right rear will have to wait because I simply ran out of weekend before getting it done. Bought my own press and done the entire job in my garage. Man does that feel good to say. Didn't pay a dealer or a machine shop to press anything off or on. And I have only had my garage for about a month. Before that I done my work at home on a gravel driveway. I'm spoiled now.
