I hear ya. Exhausts are like religion and politics......

Have you ever heard or driven a Tundra with a TRD exhaust? If not, you could search local dealerships to see if they have one in inventory with a TRD exhaust and go for a test drive. Now you can decide for yourself if you like that sound or not (without spending anything other than your time), and more importantly use that as a baseline to compare other exhausts to when getting feedback.

I've run TRD, 8 and 12 inch BaMufflers so I can tell you the differences between those 3 (based on my experience). But if you have never heard any of them in person, it's hard to relate and easy to get confused.

I've gone through three different muffler combos, all welded in. They can be changed later.

Well, Carven wont honor the 20% off even though I was a day late in seeing their product for the first time. Guess I dont blame them, but worth a shot. Back to the drawing board or thinking of just shutting down this idea all together. Thanks for all the info.

I went with Flowmaster American Thunder duel exhaust and before I bought it I was in the same dilemma. Watched 100s of YouTube videos and got no where because, well you cant really judge the sound even playing them through surround sound. So pros is I definitely got the sound I wanted, but I wanted more aggressive, on a cold start I probably piss off the neighborhood. But as we all know these things start up like you just woke up an angry beast. Performance wise I might have a little more throttle response but it could be me mashing the gas more. That brings me to cons fuel efficiency is out the window I’m on the gas like never before. But the drone yes at about 60-65 it’s pretty loud but I’m no paw paw so I cruise at 70-80. All in all I’m happy with the system.

I researched a performance cat-back exhaust for my Tundra for almost 2 years, I considered everything on the market and ended up with a custom stainless steel @dirtydeeds system - but only after trading several messages and a few phone calls with Keith. The system has been installed for about two months and I am loving it, nice power boost by design and great sound. Good luck.
